It's as long as RE2make which was also around 5-7 hours first time through.
All the REs are short. They're meant to be replayed.
RE3make has a randomizing mode built into it for extra replay value to make up for the fact that there's no alternate routes.

Every time someone mentions crows or spiders being cut I wonder if they actually miss them or if they throw them in just to make the list of negative points seem bigger. In the original game they barely do anything, it's literally impossible to get hit by them unless you stay completely still. Now, if they removed Hunters or Drain Deimos that would be disgraceful, but who the fuck cares about crows of all enemies?

Not really. It's just the same people who hated 2 trying to start the same arguments. Like people saying Jill looks ugly when she's hot as hell, they're just trying to recapture the Claire shitshow.
Most of the flaws with RE3R are flaws that the original had. Like Nemesis having goofy AI, or the game feeling really cinematic and actiony. There are a few reasons to be worried but given how great RE2R turned out despite people's fears, most people are optimistic.
