When you fly into the giant clusterfuck that's B74 and the sky just opens up in front of you with missile trails crossing the sky and radio chatter going crazy. I got chills every time enemy pilots started whispering about the Demon Lord of the Round Table in the missions afterwards.

this game is honestly not that good

>the fights are too fast/hectic and the contrived "balance" is absolutely fucked, like how you always lose ~15 men when pulling out a fight or how your ranged units can fire all their ammo and only kill 5 or 6 men while a single volley from ai controlled range units will kill way more than that
>the ai in defensive seige battles is as broken as ever and offensive seige battles are pure tedium because your seige equipment is ludicrously innacurate so you need to manually fire every single round to avoid taking massive casualties from arrow towers
>the campaign map is easily the blandest in the series unless you're playing as a horde faction
>the atmosphere from the opening cutscene just isn't there in the game and the huns + climate change feel more like a nuisance than an apocalyptic threat
>factions feel really samey, pretty much every faction in europe aside from the romans is identical other than 1 or 2 unique units each
>naval battles are borderline broken so playing as the viking factions is no fun

It's the whole reason Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 was such a mess because they could see exactly what people did and when they quit playing. That was a major reason they made Mass Effect 3 so new comer friend was less than half the buyers of Mass Effect 2 finished it in it's launch year.
