I played CSGO a while when drops came out, then stopped for years. Apparently even common shit from the first series is now worth dollars. A field tested Wings AUG is like $2.70, ultraviolet SG552 is around the same I think, Jungle Dash AK is somewhere around 1.70. Oddly enough my factory new Pit Viper AWP is only worth 1.30 or so. Fuck, even the ultra common shit like a skulls MP7 is north of a dollar. I'm sitting on about 30-40 bucks of skins that were common as fuck at one point.

A lot of it is just because people use it as a store of value and rarity. All the people like you who made a few dollars on a skin have counterparts who have what was a $100 skin now worth $500, and so on. People trade up, and since this is so rare and can't be continued to produced, it has insane "value". Additionally, the two 10K+ ones are literally the best looking stickers in the game for interesting teams, which helps a bit, but not a ton. I think these used to be ~3k instead of 10k a few years ago, so I'm going to chock that up to china raising the price a bit too. I know they've bought a lot of the skins with the stickers applied to show off, which I used to buy for pretty cheap because I like them.

I also have a battlescarred huntsman Safari. I use it for my terrorist side. Even though it's battlescarred I actually like it more than the factory new/minimal wear version because of that steel shine of the blade. Granted, this isn't as expensive as my other $400 blade tho.

Knives like OP's usually move slowly. 4-5 trades per week. but when you're dealing with hundreds of $, waiting a few days to get the right price isnt bad. If OP wanted cash, he could expect a skin site to take 40-60 off the price tag though.
