I realized the last game he 'reviewed' I actually owned, Neo Scavenger, but hadn't played it for like 8 years, with like 3 hours playtime.
Retried it, and he could not be more wrong, what a turd of game that is. Within an hour you realize there's nothing to do beyond scavenging one of three locations and a simplistic combat system with 3-4 enemy types.

I picked it up recently and have been enjoying it a lot. I didn't go into it expecting much in the way of combat though. I think it's fun working out the different ways to survive, and craft things and I like how much your skills impact how you play. I can see how it's not for everyone though.
