Disco Elysium when dream in the flak tower but even more so when cryptid appearance. The former was a great way to develop HDB's past, critique his (and your) way of thinking about the world, call in to question your assumptions about games; the latter, after hearing the depressed and depressing monologue of ideology failed as the last communist struggles, lashing out violently decades after his failed revolution to make the world better, seeing the nightmare world he was scared would come comes as just this wild ray of hope daring the player to believe that things like revolution might have worked, that hope and belief have a place in life, that an enchanted world might still exist in the muck, that not everything maybe fails.
