Demographic research showed that most Switch owners were males within the age of 25-30, but AC will certainly make more women want to get the system aswell. Kids nowadays (In the west atleast) are almost entirely bound to phones and tablets due to the fact that their parents own one atleast that can play games like fortnite and other freeware titles.

Unironically, a lot of devs think this. They think Switch is like the Vita in which the fanbase will fervently buy any games that sells on it because they have no other choice. Unfortunately, as they are learning now, when you get the Vita and give it Nintendo level of first party support, it shows subpar to average third party games as subpar to average games that isn't worth your money.
