being vulnerable should only be a thing with certain characters. it works with amy as she has the piko piko hammer, but if you want an example of how vulnerable sonic shouldn't be done, look at 06 or sonic 4, where you're required to use the homing attack in the former, and have a hard time beating the game without it in the latter.
