Sigh
Sigh
Is Kiryu the biggest chad of all time?
alright I've finished 0 twice, currently playing Kiwami and loving it, combat feels better than 0 and have Kiwami 2 ready after I finished Kiwami
are 3, 4, 5 and 6 worth playing?
Yes. Also play Judgement, it's amazing
but I've read it runs like ass
They're all good games but some aren't as good as the rest.
All the Dragon Engine games run like shit on PS4. Your only options are to wait for a PC version or buy a Pro.
>virgin
>simps to every woman he sees in trouble
>closest he ever got to getting laid was with a cunt policewoman
Nah
>starting with prequel and remakes instead of the originals
Why? Now you probably won't enjoy 1-2-3-4 even though they're great games. 5 and 6 are awful though. Also Kiwami 2 is shit
3 is a mixed bag, especially story wise if you're playing it after 2.
I unironically recommend 4, it's good fun, with some pretty dumb plot points. 5 has a shit ton of content, an amazing first part but a fucking mess of a plot A great final boss too
6 is a good game, but very rough because it's using a brand new engine for the first time.
Says who? It runs better than most games desu, ran extremely smoothly on my PS4 pro except for the levels inside the hospital in which the fan sounded like it was gonna explode but still ran pretty gud.
because I started with 0 with no real intentions of playing the whole series
I mean 0 was a newcomer bait after all
I don't have a CRT so playing 1 and 2 on my PS2 isn't really feasible
Don't listen to this asshurt PC faggot
Nigga I literally own all of these games on PS4. What do you want me to say, that the unstable frame rate is "the way it's meant to be played"?
what were they actually thinking with the Dragon Engine?
My biggest gripe with it is that you cannot change the music volume
All Dragon games do this. They have great music but you cant hear it over the combat
You can emulate 1 and 2 if you have a PC. I recommend playing 2 instead of kiwami 2 if you can, because Dragon Engine is the worst thing happened to the series. Also I think 2 is the peak Yakuza
3 is good. It has a REALLY slow start, most people don't like it. First part of the game is just Kiryu trying to live a normal life. PS3 localization cut some stuff, I don't know if they're restored in the PS4 release
4 is the best Yakuza for most people. It has lots of content. It has 4 playable characters and all of them are good. I don't like it because it lacks the Hokuto No Ken feel I wanted from the series, but it's a great game
5 starts great. Kiryu part is one of the best things in the series, everything after that until the final boss is shit. It has the most content though
6 is just bad, but it's the end of Kiryu's story so it's worth playing if you played the other games. Though it's painful if you are a fan of the series because Kiryu's final story has nothing to do with older games or characters. It's clearly another newcomer bait. Also again, Dragon Engine is shit
0 is the worst game in the franchise lol
I started it on a normal PS4 recently and the frame rate is appalling. it feels like it's still in alpha
I started with 0 too and I think 5 is better than it
anyone who says 5 or 6 is bad is not a true Yakuza fan. Also 4 is genuinely bad with the most retarded plot but they all have the same gameplay so none of this matters.
they are all the same
The bomb being a fake in 2 sums up perfectly why the writing in these games is terrible. Nothing ever actually matters or has consequence. Things happen just to have a melodramatic scene which ten minutes later doesn't even matter anymore. Kaz can be stabbed and left to die and then be back on his feet and fine 2 minutes later. These games are full of this shit. It's not even "twists" because that would mean things would have to be foreshadowed or at least still have consequence. But literally everything that you think is happening can be undone at any moment. RUBBER BULLETS is the most extreme example but the games are full of this garbage. It only annoys me because when people point out how shit the gameplay is they defend the games by saying "you idiot, you play for the story" but that makes no sense when they're written so badly.
Kiryu should have died in the end of Yakuza 3
This isnt a yakuza thread.
Fuck you.
Over the next few weeks you're going to hear a lot of people complaining about NG+ in Yakuza 7 being paid DLC. This is blatant misinformation. Do not believe it.
It is paid DLC, but I also think the dlc is going to be free in the us release, like all other DLCs in the us releases.
I agree. I liked Zero as it was first Yakuza game my expectation were high but after experiencing Kiwami 1 and 2 (with 2 being the high point in terms of plot according to fans) I was let down pretty badly.
Right now I'm playing Judgment and enjoying so far.
What is this then?
Yes, stabbed by some guy who disappeared for 80% of the story
Haruka was a mistake and so was her mother
>play yakuza expecting to do yakuza shit
>committing crime, murder, blackmail and jav
>instead you play as a simp
Game theory: The final villain of Yakuza 5 was supposed to be Majima, but they chickened out
Evidence:
>Daigo meets Kiryu in high secrecy and tells him only he can save the Tojo clan, even though all there is a minor scuffle with the Omi about dumb idol bullshit, and he has no reason to hide
>Majima has a relation to almost every storyline, but he never ends up doing anything at all
>It is often mentioned that Majima has become the strongest family in the Tojo clan, and in every game the strongest family ends up being a traitor
>Aizawa comes out of literally nowhere, and has no relation to anything else in the plot. He also has no plan, just some literal nobody who wants to be chairman by killing some random guys he found at HQ (after disappearing for most of the game). Again if Majima did that, he'd actually end up being chairman
>Taiga is mortified that Aizawa (a man he never met in his life) would kill someone in the Purgatory ring (owned by Majima).
>Aizawa acts like Majima in the final battle
The bad guy in 7 is killed by someone who isn't in 99.9% of the story so it wouldn't have been so bad
But Aizawa is Kurosawa's son, he inherits the Omi Alliance and tries to take over the Tojo Clan by himself, and he doesnt act like Majima in the final battle.
You spend most of the games beating up yakuza for breaking the law
Who would charge for NG+?
Who would pay for NG+?
Nani?
>he didnt play Dead Souls
>Who would charge for NG+?
SEGA
>Who would pay for NG+?
Yakuza fanboys who eat shit over and over no matter what SEGA do
was it autism?
Yes.
Yes.
Embarrassing
Will this come to pc in our lifetime?
I'll definitely buy 7 and all the DLC for it, including NG+ but I hope this doesn't become the norm in future releases
kiryu the cuck
>she betrayed Kiryu because he didnt have sex with her
Also it's surprising how all the main protags look more badass in Yakuza 5 than in the Dragon Engine games
I got to that scene right after I finished the first hostess for Kiryu.
Yeah, but at that point you can easily just emulate them on RPCS3
I mean if Kiryu got stabbed to death then there wouldn't be much game left would there?
Exactly. His story should have ended there instead of bringing him back constantly. Him being in 7 is total shit but idiots lap it up every time.
Kiryu's a bigger cherry boy than Ryo Hazuki. In Ryo's defense for not sleeping with Nozomi, he was young and set to get revenge for his murdered father. FUCK LAN DI.
Kiryu's a middle aged virgin with no excuse when he had several opportunities and nice tail around for years.
He is an optional boss in a dream sequencs
Seriously? That's good to know. If he was in the main storyline that would be fucking terrible.
The girl? Yes, pure autism.
Kiryu? Absolute chad volcel move. Real men don't need the pleasures of flesh
It's wrong though. He's kind of a "nobody" because he's supposed to be dead blablabla. New MC doesn't know who he is. Only Majima, Saejima and a few others know who he is but they didn't explicitly say his name out loud. Kiryu has very little screen time anyway.
Nah I personally hated how Akiyama looked in 5 and Isshin, looks alright in the dragon engine
