I wish I got thousands of dollars just to shill some random game for 2 minutes
All the worthwhile YT content has been banned for ThoughtCrime™.
But guys, it has an amazing story and console graphics.
I use sponsorblock and I have never seen an actual shill talk about this game. I've only ever heard about it from Yas Forums and discord memers
>My job is soooo hard
>I have to sit down and GET GAME FOOTAGE!
>And then I have to edit it!
>And cut it together!
>This is so much harder than an actual job, even though there's nothing stopping me from """working""" more than five hours a day
And that's too much even for most people now, now it's just streaming shit.
>sponsorblock is a thing
Sir, you just improved youtube for me.
>don't bother to install firefox and setup adblock on my windows partition because I use it for gaming exclusively, use pre installed edge
>want to watch something on YT without switching to Linux
>3 ads for ~10 min video, same ads over and over and it's the most anyoning shit
How do people even live without adblock?
but muh demonetization
>at work
>teaching someone some shit related to work
>we have to pull up a website
>can't quite put my finger on it, but something seems off
>oh, there's ads!
>install ublock
I see ads so rarely that I can barely even identify them anymore.
to play devils advocate, a lot of those people do those sponsorships because YouTube outjews them out of their money
>Youtubers who do nothing but give their shitty wikipedia fact opinions about popular things, read stories from other websites, or play video games shill the hardest for VPNs or their patreon
>Any other youtuber who actually makes something with effort just mentions it and leaves a link and almost never takes several minutes to shill every video
Shut the fuck up kike
why should these lazy fucks make money playing videogames?
they’re entertainers, they get payed by entertaining zoomers, they’re not different from anybody you can see on conventional television except for the glass ceiling that old school showbiz provides
>should
It's not about "should." They want to make money.
Anyway, they make shit which brings people to Youtube, so it's fine for them to make some money back. When Youtube Jews them out of money, and someone else is willing to pay them, why not? I just skip through any sponsorship shit I see, but I don't fault them for doing it.
Remember: This shit is just another type of entertainment industry And if you shit on these guys but not on professional actors and musicians, you're a hypocrite.
streaming and doing lets play gaming videos takes no talent. Almost zero effort. Anyone can do it. All streamers are exactly the same and the only reason some have more views than others is luck or intentionally exploiting trends.(or if female will get more views)
Youtubers that make scripted videos, animations, or reviews I can actually respect.
I'm pretty sure this is why the audience for this stuff has atrophied almost exclusively into underages, NEETbux shitters and the like.
Hopefully one of these days I'll get popular enough for some random user to make a thread here on Yas Forums about my videos, in which I'm called a massive bitch by hundreds of anons.
That's when I know I've made it.
>Some faggots giving their gay opinions is "tearing apart" anything
the whole of showbiz is about connections and luck, don’t get me started about modern musicians and actors, that shit makes those youtubers look like Da Vinci in comparison
>actor
spends high school years in drama class. Has to learn how to give a convincing performance with face, voice and body. Memorizes lines. Has to stay in good shape.
>musician
Knows how to read sheet music. Probably spent many afternoons as a child in piano lessons their parents forced them to go to. Otherwise just a retarded monkey banging on rocks with sticks that other monkeys happen to like.
>youtube/twitch gamer
*clicks button* "HEY GUYYYYSSSS"
So....stealth "hows your gaming channel coming along" thread?
Cuz screw it; i need criticism.
Then do it, man.
I don't pay them. I don't even watch any of that shit anymore, and haven't for years. I've never liked streaming.
But it's a legitimate hobby and a legitimate way to make money. Sure, a lot of success for them is luck, but there are so many other careers which need even more.
If they want to do some advertising, if they want to shill a Patreon, go ahead. I won't pay, but if some guys will, good for them.
even being a shitty musician takes more effort and skill than being a twitch streamer.
not arguing against the fact that being a gaming streamer / YouTuber is the lowest form of entertainment but modern day music is like this:
>lyrics are written by 10 people
>music, recording and mastering is done by 20 people
the only thing the musician does at the end of the day is to sing the lyrics (when they didn’t decide to hire a voice double to sing)
I'd say turn down the music volume or something
Nothing to complain about really besides nitpicking, at least you're not a slow talking monotone fuck like everyone else who shills their youtube here
>hey guys this is just my opinion and if you like this shit game that's cool :)
>nintendo seal of quality
>randomxd reviewer thinks he is a legit reviewer yet shields behind It's just comedy bro
old music took more skill than new music. ok i never mentioned anything about that. Whats your point?
theres a typo, advised not adviced.
Shit username. You are less likely to get big with a channel name like that. Use some spaces, use some capital letters, get rid of the numbers.
>Changeling Tale is a furry game being developed by-
youtube.com
Not looking to get big...
furry, TRANSFORMATION
It's very amateur, I mean the first 30 seconds aren't bad but why are there so many jumpcuts to memes and shitposts when you're essentially making a video essay? It's also very hard to present 18+ content in a way that's less jarring (disgusting) or sleazy to appeal to more people.
I've seen that thumbnail, and I'm super curious about it, but fucked if I'm going to give that guy a click? Care to give me a tl;dw?
Can we talk about how 90% of these YouTubers have a really obvious Nintendo bias and likely have barely played non Nintendo games?
-the channel's revenue has been going downhill since January 2020 due to algorithm changes
-he says it's not fair that he works so hard yet earns so little (fallacious statement)
-he has spent 475 hours completing Persona 5, which requires 10 playthroughs. Currently on playthrough 4/10.
-he is starting to feel like an impostor and is re-thinking the direction of his channel
-he came to LA to be an actor, failed and feels stuck with his YouTube channel instead
There's some other juicy stuff in there but basically, it's another YouTube complaint video.
>tfw channel is very slowly growing and I started putting my VODs on youtube where they're getting views.
Appeasement. I figured humor would work. It settles down after that but how else would i do this.
I mean shit, sseth does memeshit for ero stuff...figured that approach would work.
>it's not fair that he works so hard yet earns so little
>has spent 475 hours completing Persona 5, which requires 10 playthroughs
Is he a retard? Most people won't even watch one playthrough
Thanks, fren. That "feeling like an impostor" bit would buy him a little respect in my eyes (self-awareness is a rare commodity these days), but the typical "muh algorithm muh worksohard" shit pretty much negates that.
He wouldn't put up all the video footage, just a compilation of clips for a 20-30 minute video.
Your presentation keeps jumping from way too static with nothing happening on screen to quickly jump cutting from meme image to meme image for no reason, finding a good rhythm for your video can help a lot with presenting facts and comedy. I understand you're doing that to add some levity and comedy, but you have to actually build up to putting an image like that on-screen, simply flashing it on there when you say something tangentially related isn't that funny, more distracting than anything. Turn down the music a bit too.
Your voiceover and writing is good (although that comment about udders was kinda weird), but you need to work a bit more on your video editing and visual presentation. Also, try to pick a subject that appeals to more people if you're trying to get noticed. Reviewing a furry transformation novel that isn't even done is a niche as fuck subject. Hope this helps you.
Feel free to criticize my video now.
youtube.com
Fucking everyone gets that feeling. It has it's own Wikipedia page for a reason.
Who's the TheRealJims of gaming?
The ten playthroughs are required for getting all the chocolates, right? Is there even an achievement for gathering all the items, or is the game considered completed when you craft the ultimate persona and beat the super-boss as far as the cheevos as concerned?
Seems too niche. I can't imagine your average YouTuber sticking around after 10 seconds. I didn't.
I've never played it and I have no idea. However, I would guess that's the case and beating the superboss alone doesn't count as completion.
Hey man I really like your editing and humor I think if you made more vids that you can make it big on youtube, I think a lot of people would enjoy it
I wouldn't say it's hard but it does take time. Time that is hard to come up with if you work a regular job. It's what keeps me from trying since I can't afford not to work at the moment.
It'll be out when it's out.
If you want to watch them then they should, same as any other entertainment medium.
I've played the game, and just looked through the Trophy list. If getting all of them is the goal, there's nothing requiring the player to get all items, most is things that you'll do through regular course of the game, and then there's some for side-activities like reading all the books or completing the fishing minigame.
Playing through the game twice is enough to do all of that, maybe three times if you are really bad at managing your time.
>I do it ALL for my viewers!
>cries about having to potentially cut down on content or kill the channel entirely if some demonetization happens
Making a living off of YouTube should never be possible, and you should be fucking slapped and sent to a labor camp if you think otherwise.
I just edit ARMA III videos that I record while playing with my group. Most people in my unit like them.
Video Essays about cherished titles and works seem to be all the buzz in mainstream circles now with Half-Life making a return. Expect everything they can get their hands on to be milked dry...
Thanks user. On one hand, it's nice to hear all the positive feedback, but on the other I don't really get criticisms for my video which leaves me wondering why my videos don't really get any hits.
I understand that getting seen on Youtube is like having your bottled letter found out in the open seas, but damn, I don't want to become an annoying shill just to get noticed. Thought that having good content would be enough.
Trophies are designed so an average player can "complete" the game. Doesn't necessarily mean true completion though. That's based on community standards.
People couldn't know if your content was good, if they click away after the first minute. You need something that would cultivate an audience. Make something short, and start the video in an engaging way. You should also include the like, comment and subscribe messages that every YouTuber includes.
>You should also include the like, comment and subscribe messages that every YouTuber includes.
I know that's actually something that's proven to work but I fuckin' hate videos that do that. I'm of the mind that people click on a video to watch the subject matter, not listen to some jack-off beg for subs. Leave it for the end, if people are actually interested in the content they stick around long enough to hear it.
