For me personally I just like sitting on my couch. Now plenty of people will have "solutions" to the "gaming on PC from your couch" problem but none of them are elegant. I can install all the front ends in the world but eventually I am going to need to reach for a keyboard to do something. And there IS lag streaming to your television from a local device, however small.

PC is the heavyweight division, consoles are the lightweight division. Get a 3080Ti. Hit 'em and then forget 'em.

You also like to waste money on a closed system that ages in a year, and to play video games on a silly gamepad toy which is not even intended for those games.

I spent last day trying to figure out what's wrong with my pc, I get high ping in games whenever it starts being too crowded (about 20 players), enemy's movement becomes game breakingly fast, but somehow games with few people like duel servers are fine. How the fuck can I understand what's wrong here ? PS4 was a massive disappointment to me but given my pc experience I'm contemplating PS5. Any chance we'll be able to simply plug and play with a controller and mouse ?

PC gaming was not destined to last. It was ideal to have a gaming PC in the 2000-2020 era because graphics and FPS on pc were consistently better with the same titles, online was more streamlined and functional, and controls were more tuned for hardcore gameplay. Now that console specs and accessories have reached the point where you can have a 4K 60fps experience on a 70 inch LED tv with pinpoint controls there is no point in hunching in kyphotic postures over a keyboard and mouse alone in your room when everyone else is playing games with friends on couches with pizza, beer and their girlfriends.

PC gaming dies with this next generation.

Yeah I originally bought it on ps4.. and holy shit the load times drove me off it. Much better on an SSD. Dem instant loads, mind you game has been a buggy pile of shit at launch and again at expac launch, mostly fine now.

Now if I could just get it to run on Linux, it's the last thing I use on the daily that doesn't... Fuck you windows, soon i'll never need you again.

I'm ashamed to admit that the last straw that drove me to putting this thing together was MHW load times. Made sure to put a NVME in it. I'm proud of the results, just wish I could move my PoS4 save to it.

I do believe you can just copy the save file... or you know, mod yourself to about what you had. I just replayed thru myself it really doesn't take long once you know what you're doing.

Sitting thru the cutscenes again is the worst part.

Would gladly pay it when it means no hackers in PC games. I cannot think of a multiplayer game out there that I can't find a video on YouTube of somebody clearly hacking in it, or some kind of AHK script that gives you a massive advantage to the point where you have to use it or you lose.

Otherwise I agree, PC script kiddies ruin online, I can't stand playing EDF on PC because everyone boosts their armor values to max like little bitches - I know some alter saves on PS4 too much it's 1000x less people. Also geting delayed jap games on PC is beyond frustrating, especially when half of them release as a buggy unplayable mess until a fan mods them.

I've played online games since the first diablo. I've had hackers interfere with my game maybe a few dozen times in 20 fucking years. Yes if you go looking for it, you will find it if you try.

I'll also say most of the time I experienced someone hacking in my session / lobby it didn't actually impact the gameplay as it's usually just people fucking around for a minute. The dicks that turn on god mods are pretty rare.

Ive been a solely pc gamer for over a decade. I recently traded off my desktop for a gaming laptop and have just been playing games on console. I can still play games decently on the laptop but i think im gonna keep my gaming to the devices that were made to do so. I just like the idea of my games on devices meant solely for games and i dont have the woes of games that wont work on my OS of choice or trashy exclusivity woes (EGS) at the end of the day its all about having fun and it doesnt matter what platform you choose.

With the rise of streaming services, Consoles can completely replace cable television altogether. That is, unless you care about the news or live streaming sports. These can usually be done with apps anyways.
