Unpopular opinion here: backwards compatibility is overrated. I would play 2 titles on Xbox: Lost Odyssey and Ninja Gaiden Black. On PS, I'd play Xenosaga 3. People won't give a shit about the majority of games.

Yeah, sounds fun to buy a brand new console just to play old games via software. Or you can buy the original hardware and game for dirt cheap. Sony removed PS2 chip from PS3 slim and Vita during development. What makes you think they still give a fuck about backward compatibility?

They are still testing every Xbone game but from the sound of it, it seems like the thousands they've tried so far works. Far cry from the PS5 where they can only promise most of the top 100 games to work. The variable clock speeds for PS5 is royally fucking up PS4 BC because no PS4 game was programmed with that in mind.

They've already said thousands of games will work. Sony has so far only promised most of the 100 games they've tested. Not even all due to variable clock rate that will be a huge headache to everyone involved with that console.

No they didn't. They said every xbox game currently on xbox one will be playable on the next gen system and then said they've tested 1000s of them which work. They never claimed full 4 gens all games back compat once.

Xbox runs most games better and has more affordable access to games so I use it as my main platform with ps4 as exclusives. Gonna get an xbox at the end of this year for cyberpunk 2077 as well and maybe a PS5 in a few years once it gets exclusives. Only some retard will limit themselves from all platforms.
