Greedfall

has anyone played this? it's on sale and it looks the sort of game i would enjoy. i hear combat isn't great but i don't mind janky combat if every other aspect of the game is solid.

it's good eurojank

It's the most 7/10 game I've ever played

the waifu is very cute

any nude mods

Can you be evil? And I mean properly evil, not just some sneering imperialist. I want to burn the native villages and put them all to the sword.

i don't know i never played with mods, but i hope not
That's not what cute girls are for

Best build?

You can be pretty dickish at times but you're still a diplomat so not really.

the entire game is janky, from the combat, to the plot, to the dialogue options, the party mechanics, the faction mechanics, the stealth, pretty much everything is bugged to varying degree's. I pirated it and finished it, it was a decent game. If you like the idea of a low fantasy colonial era action rpg, you'll probably like this game quite a bit.

That's a shame, I'm always evil if it's an option, even if most CPRGs reward you for being a goody-two-shoes bitch.

De Sardet has some degree of freedom but the game is still in between somewhere like Mass Effect and the Witcher in terms of how much control you have over the PC's actions.

It's probably the best Spider's game to date. Not very janky compared to how they usually do.
It seems they genuinely learn from each game they make and it shows in this.

You're a mutt so you can't

That's fine I guess, I got nothing but time now anyway since all this corona shit. I've been meaning to finally play Pathfinder now that all the dlc and patching should be done, but right now I'm in the mood for more of an ELEX type dealio than D&D.

Really could go for another round of ME (only played ME2 once, never ME3) but I'm willing to bet they'll do a remaster of the entire trilogy for the new consoles so I'll wait and see with that.

How much can you break the game?

It's a fine enough game, Spiders is basically an earlier Bioware with an added bit of Eurojank. Just don't go into it expecting too much customization with the PC considering the main plot centers around your cousin.

I wouldn't recommend it to anybody, but it's not terrible. It at least promises kino in the first 5 hours, but falls apart to shit. I mean, I beat it, so it can't be that bad, but it definitely wasn't good. It might be the worst game I ever suffered the whole way through.

Its painfully mediocre, when you finish it the realization you wasted countless hours on this hits you like a truck. Don't do it.

guns are op, build into guns and building your own ammo

You mean in terms of looks, or skills/class etc? I tend to veer towards the caster types for my PC when possible.

It's anti-white shit.

I liked it, colonialism is a great topic for am rpg. A few too many blecks to properly immerse me in the play on old Europe though. The outfits are all very good looking, but the weapons are annoying in the sense that some are way better than others in the same category.

You can customize your character pretty extensively. You're free to go magic, firearms, swords of many types or mix as you please.

>colonialism is a great topic for am rpg
Wasn't Amazon making an mmo about that?

I thought I heard the big bads were middle eastern?

it portrays a proud people defending their homeland and traditions against a foreign invasion as the good guys. I don't what kind of whiteness you're thinking of but it doesn't sound like anything much to be proud of.

>surge 2 and greedfall
>literally who slav games
>half a year after release
>still can't be found for under €20
This is bullshit.

More actions, you actually have a surprising amount of visual customization for a Spiders game considering some the previous ones are mostly just a couple of preset sliders and some are even male only. Clothing and weapon crafting is also a surprisingly deep even if there is the occasional clipping. Combat is decent but you're definitely encouraged the hybridize between casting, melee, or firearms to some degree.

I hate nu-RPG design where everything is made to be seen in a single playthrough.
Game is like ~50 hours long but I'd gladly shave 20-25 hours off if that meant I actually had a reason to replay it.

Spiders are frogs not slavs

That actually sounds pretty great, user, thanks. I don't mind hybrids at all as long as it means you actually gain something from it, instead of making a crippled jack of no trades.

just an fyi to everyone starting, magic is quite limited. You get a stasis spell and like two attack spells. I'd recommend going hybrid.

Just remember the turban faction is the worst and you'll do great

It's a good game.
Not mind-blowing or GOTY.
Just good.

Do those spells stay relevant throughout, as in the damage scales sufficiently? Or are they more of a long cooldown thing you use only in a pinch?

Use magic it absolutely shits on everything else. go full paladin crusading on everyone

it's uhhhhhhh..how much is it on sale for

its like definitively a game that should only exist on sale in some kind of pocket on sale dimension

i got tired of playing it and forgot about it

One of the spells, shadowburst, can practically cheese the game once upgraded high enough.

It's boring. All you'll be doing is running from one npc to another.

I really do like crafting, but how's the exploration (and can you f. ex. steal stuff from homes/shops in towns)? And is the game divided into smaller maps or one big open-world?

It's Inquisition style maps with a bit less grind. Backtracking can be a bit of a bitch unfortunately.

You start the game saying "master" to a nigger.

I had fun with the game. I still need to finish it though. It kinda drags at times.

I watched my sister play it and barely saw anyone non-white. Even the apparent Middle-Easterns were right.

I haven't personally played it, but from what I saw, I'd argue for RPG's similar to Dragon Age it has better writing compared to most games of that sort.
Nothing outstanding, but if you're looking for something that's 50+ hours that has some interesting lore and let's you make more serious decisions, it's pretty good.

you either didn't watch love getting enough or your idea of white very twisted. Regardless, you're wrong.

>I hate nu-RPG design where everything is made to be seen in a single playthrough.

Gonna take a revolution of some sort for that to ever end, friend.

I played it. Surprisingly good, still not, like, exceptional in any way. I gave it one playthrough, had fun, took more than my share of hours from it, and when I was done I felt satisfied but not interested in a second playthrough. There wasn't much to replay for though, I had done every sidequest in the game before advancing the main storyline so it felt pretty complete and choices don't change so much you'd want to go back for them.

Far as combat goes, I started with a pure warrior build using two handed weapons but respecced later on for a more hybrid build using one handed swords and poisons and found it much, much better. Magic seemed like it was more powerful, but I also found it boring for the couple times I tried it in the arena and dropped it.

almost everyone in the thread agrees that the game is a hard 7/10 lol

i havent seen a bunch of us agree like this in years

New Mars game pls

gameplay is terrible

If you like Bioware's golden-age games like ME1 and Dragon Age you'll enjoy this a lot, it punches well above its weight and clearly has a lot of love put into it.

The voice acting and character writing is also really good.

It's a solid action RPG where the narrative is the more interesting part.

It scratches that RPG itch and is worth picking up on a sale.
A bit of poison on my blade, then let's go

>idea of white
Let me guess, you think Spain is full of Mexicans...

Literally Goty in the last year.

I played it and it's really bad. The SJW shit is a little annoying too.
