Anyone kinda dislike Twilight missions/Dark Realms? Not because of their functions, but because they make dye everything monochrome and makes it hard to see where you’re going at times.

And the same fucking music always plays. God I hate that music now.

someone redpill me on Tonfas. I tried them at the start and they did seemingly no damage. Are they good at fucking up opponents' ki bars? Also, are axe and spear still easy mode?

Yeah the monochrome effect gets old. Especially when there's a fuck ton of Yokai and shit going on and the resolution/framerate suffers

I just started using them a few days ago and I love them, the main thing with tonfas is demon dance, which gives you a free dodge on ki pulse. You can then unlock an ability that gives you a multi hit attack for like zero ki cost if you light attack during demon dance. Basically you can continuously beat an enemy while recovering your ki and dodge out of combos when needed only to instantly continue them, so you shred ki.

Don’t remember the skill names, but once you unlock the skill to press square after a ki pulse to do a barrage of attacks, you’ll be dabbing on the enemy’s ki like there’s no tomorrow.

Imo it’s the easy mode weapon against humans because it absolutely destroys ki bar in just a few attacks and have hyper armor on some skills too. With the right skills and setup, you can stun lock enemies to death. Kinda hard to use on faster Yokai enemies though.

Safest weapon by far imo. Great range, fast hits and decent damage all around.

I have a spear with "Imbue lightning". I tempered with it so that it also had "shock accumulation". Those two go hand in hand, right, or is shock different to the status effect lightning gives?

yes

My swords actually have imbue lightning, so that's usually what I use. But I wanted to try out paralyze and see how it goes. You're right in that lightning is better though.

Yes. By default you are already dealing lightning damage with every hit. Shock is just the status that you build up from lightning damage. So the 2nd passive doesn’t do anything for the elemental damage but it will help you accumulate the shock status faster.

The whole game is a busy, cluttered mess visually. Nothing like missing anything your character did because you cut off a gaki's head and he committed out 10 items you don't need. I love these games to death but they're visually way to cluttered.

You can speed massacre any zone with any weapon, not just kusa

God all three of these abilities are so ass. I can understand the use for BC, but the other two are such hot garbage.
LW was x10 better than Shift, because you effectively got 7 different move sets, with 5 different elements. While Shift you have 3 forms, 1 of which is a slow clunky fuck thats only good for its BC, and 3 elements that are static to each.
And Soul Core abilities are actually just forgettable. I just break down all my cores for materials.
Im not the only one who just plays Nioh 2, like it was Nioh 1 right? Because Ive done just fine as is without Shift, BC, or Soul Core abilites. 1kat, and Tonfas are all I need.

Where can I farm lots of gold? I'm always too poor to do my soul matching.

Please tell. I'm using 1h katana as well, and I think the skill is pure trash that opens you up to attacks.
I hear it's really good, but I just can't get it to work. 3 quick hits deal the same damage as 1 iai for me, and those 3 hits feel a lot safer.
