It's a meme that is played for laughs that retarded waifufags cling to like in FGO. In supplemental works FGO treats the female main character as super strong and being able to beat up the main villain with her bare hands, Granblue does the same with Djeeta, in the first anime joke episode she one-shots all the villains and in the 2nd episode she has whale weapons that you need to roll the gacha for. The thing is, it's played off as a joke, but people that "waifu" the female avatar obsess and insist it's canon despite the fact that in the actual game the main character doesn't do any of this shit, it's a static protagonist whose gender is basically a skin you can switch.
