Nice.
Jose Cook
Noooooooo
Jason Cook
goddamn it, kotaku's back at it again, anons.
Robert Price
They better add a Stadia-waifu
Thomas Davis
Well, if that helps them to move on and improve their production quality, then so be it.
Isaac Myers
Maybe it's atelier
Heard shit went down hard and all games in series were shit for some time
Gabriel Diaz
To be fair, they've been improving their games with every entry. We can argue that is a low bar, but an improvement is an improvement. This is unlike other franchises that get worse with every entry.
That's Gust. Gust, and by proxy Koei, are in charge of Atelier.
Christopher Miller
Gust does Atelier not Compile Heart
Ryan Hughes
Atelier is KT, retard
Jackson Kelly
Neptunia isn't a numbered series anymore, so it probably isn't that. Probably Mary Sketler
Levi Bailey
I've never figured out on which order to start playing the neptunia games. I imagine the first one have aged horribly
Zachary Jenkins
>1
>2
>5
>5-2
>5-2-R
Brandon Ward
oh shit wtf
Julian Roberts
Don't listen to him he think V stands for 5 when it stands for Victory.
Start with Rebirth 1 as it introduces the characters properly and it's one of the most decent ones, Rebirth 2 is a slog to play except one ending, same with Rebirth 3 but the problem is that the "mainline continuity" starts with 2 (1 is basically an alternate universe) then the best game is VII (which stands for Victory 2).
So tl;dr if you want the good games Rebirth 1 and VII
tl;dr if you want the whole experience Rebirth1>2>3>VII any other game is a spin off and also in an alternate universe so you can play them or not up to you
Luke Diaz
shemue 4 baby hell yea
Ethan Brown
>F
He's talking about Fairy Fencer you silly nincompoops, no way they're killing off Neptunia when that's their best-selling series. Stop overreacting.
Jaxson Morales
Got the first Rebirth a months back for cheap, it's alright but holy fuck are the bosses just damage sponges
Jordan Allen
Re;Birth 3 is my favourite
Fite me faggets
Jace Martinez
Fuck, they are closing down aren't they. The only series they have that was actually making was Neptunia, everything else was a failure, except for naybe that Azure Lane game.
Logan Carter
Ah yes Fairy Fencer, my favorite CH NUMBERED series
Adrian Butler
Real Japanese games are dying
Nathan Nelson
I bet you like Plutia/Iris heart, everyone I know that likes RB3 is solely because of them
Samuel Adams
Nep's not really a "numbered" series, is it?
David Baker
I guess not but would the president of CH come out for any other series?
Luis Roberts
That's part of it, but the primary reason is because all the characters in RB3 were extra ssholey and rude to one another. I like it when the Neps are rude. I like the drama animosity. And most of all, i hate Nepgear with a passion, so seeing her get shafted and sidelined in that game feels so good for me. Fuck Nepgear that dumb bint.
Brayden Kelly
>Character Designer Tsunako
>Woman
>Series Producer
>Woman
>Was expecting a woman as president
>Turns out it was an NTR Ojii-san
Cooper Williams
Iris Heart is best girl and best goddess. I hope we get to see her one last time.
Ryan Bennett
thank fucking god
Luis Ramirez
I'm just going to cope by telling myself it's some """"popular"""" other numbered series they do
Ian Johnson
Time to become gachashit nepubros.
Luke Howard
It's entirely possible it's Mary Skelter since the game is made as a collaboration between CH and DengekiPS, since the magazine is going away having the farewell of the collaboration be announced in the final issue would be fitting.
It's probably Nep but it could also be MS.
Doubtful that it's Genkai Tokki since that doesn't operate on numbers. Though technically neither does Nep.
Jack Smith
Finally
Ryder Wilson
Also the nep wall is just something they use for announcements, they've used an older one for non-Nep announcements before so there's no confirmation it's Nep because of the wall either.
Jaxson Wood
Is that V-tuber nep game ever going to come out? I feel like it was announced a while ago and then nothing.
Granted v-tuber shit isn't the bounce back I was looking for after Supernep RPG was garbage.
Luke Rodriguez
Oh boy can't wait for CH to go bankrupt in a few years
Hudson Ward
This user speaks my language.
Gavin Baker
there's also death end request 1 & 2
John Cruz
>Vert never got a game
>Or imouto
It's not fucking fair.
Nicholas Torres
Finally.
youtube.com
Jacob Bennett
They ain't going to kill off neptunia
Isaac Johnson
That's definitely coming out, I'm more worried about that E-Ninja game.
You shut your whore mouth!
Austin Garcia
Don't bother, even after all the entries and remakes they still never managed to make an actual good game.
Isaiah Cruz
True but the second game just came out this year, announcing one so soon is highly unlikely and also isn't done under the same collaboration(Both games have art by Nanameda Kei though) MS2 however came out two years ago.
Jackson Bell
I've been drawing Neptunia smut for years and seeing it gone feels weird, but the series has been on a downfall lately so the fact they are possibly giving it a proper farewell is something I give them mayor kudos for
Carson Lewis
SEXBOX
Zachary Reed
I want to kiss Nep's butt
Hunter Baker
Hope this is the case, I liked Mary Skelter but I also still have hopes for the Nep series since they seem to improve with each game. Can't see them killing off their biggest money maker either.
Tyler Moore
It comes out July in Japan.
That's why I'm saying MS is a possibility there's a lot more reason to be making it the final entry since one of the collaborators is going away.
William White
Wish it was the end of Compile Heart and Idea Factory instead.
Ian Lewis
An end to a decade long era , and no more Tsunako to boot?
It's been a fun ride.
Thomas Sullivan
About Mary Skelter, I don't know how they'll expand upon the series in the future. Like the story is kinda already complete, not much more room to navigate.
Zachary Roberts
And that's why I'm pointing out the collaboration. A three party collab between CH, Dengeki Bunko(still active) and Dengeki Playstation(soon to no longer be active)
Announcing a last hurrah of the collaboration makes much more sense than killing off their biggest series. People are just jumping to conclusions because they used the Nep wall for the announcement.
Carter Nelson
id like a new mugen souls desu
Matthew Sullivan
>Like the story is kinda already complete, not much more room to navigate
Aside from a story covering life after MS1
Dylan Hill
I hope they introduce PlatinumGames-chan
Chase Cook
how's he gonna take it?
Mason Cooper
Remember that the Jail isn't the only one that exists and the world around them after the true end isn't utopian. Having to fight against the aliens in some kind of absurd twist to return the world to normal is entirely possible.
Camden Rodriguez
You guys know it could just be the end of Mainline Nep titles and spinoffs will still happen
Ryan Parker
>more Tamsoft neps
>more Unigear
Don't do that. Don't give me hope
Levi Bailey
Neptunia fucking sucks anyways
Good riddance
Depression Quest was much better than this garbage
Lucas Bell
>People actually thinking it'll be Neptunia when VVVTunia isn't even out yet
Ethan Evans
It's been nearly 5 years since the last mainline Nep game anyway
Ryder Gutierrez
They do kinda need to wrap up before Neptune and crew have to gain another power level to keep up with PS5/XBSX/Switch. Mainline rules are supposed to be the CPUs die with their console generation and the current cast is PS3/360/Wii
Charles Morris
>games have never been cancelled suddenly
Oliver James
They're announcing a new game, idiot.
Anthony Richardson
A game far into development rarely gets cancelled.
Nathan Gray
Considering that VVV isn't being done by Tamsoft(and actually looks kinda good so far) means that it could just be CH themselves doing Action spinoffs. Mainline entries are all well and good but it's just one of those questions of where do you go next. Take Crash Bandicoot for example. It went from island hopping, to globe trotting, to time travel with the last ND game being to just throw in aliens because they thought it was jumping the shark even though it feels pretty normal. But the question has to come up, where do you go next?
By ending the mainline series and sticking to spinoffs they can keep the characters we all know and love but with gameplay that can be entire different genres but in terms of story and lore you don't need to worry since it's all non-canon. So instead of worry about power creep and needing new forms you just roll with the classic style.
