GUESS WHO'S BACK BACK BACK
BACK AGAIN GAIN GAIN
GUESS WHO'S BACK BACK BACK
BACK AGAIN GAIN GAIN
....direct confirmed?
Based
Nice.
I played ARMS before the Switch even released. Very fun game with an amazing aesthetic and soundtrack. I wish it had leaned a bit further into its fighting game aspects, though. Maybe give us input moves or character-specific supers next game.
out of nowhere
>Randomly bringing this game up after 3 fucking years
Arms 2 for the next direct bitches
How do we save the IP?
Ayyyyyyyy!
Arms was a success sales wise and the actual problem was just how little content it had so Arms 2 wouldn't be surprising.
>play the beta
>preorder
>immediately forget it's existence
I think this game is cool as hell and just a really fun idea but I have no desire to play it for some reason. Still have it sitting on my shelf. Maybe it's time I try it again
I created a gameplay mechanic that would make arms more dynamic but retaining its core gameplay, please hire me Nintendo I want to work for you, I could easily tweet my idea to Yabuki but I want to actually make games for your company
>non-Jap ever allowed to work in core NoJ programming/design teams
lmao
What's your idea?
Pretty much this. It really needed some kind of single player but I guess it's kind of comes with the launch window territory. ARMS 2 would be cool
I am not a sjw that will waste their money, I can survive with minimum wage and don't force any ideology or change the core ideas of the games they want, on the contrary I like to adapt to ideas and see what I can do with them
I won't tell it, but it is still based in the boxing motion controls
I fucking hope so
Reminder we still don't have the fucking Comic they promised would happen
What would you put in a sequel to sell it to the masses? I like arms but lets be honest, it sold 2.6 million copies because it got a big marketing and was one of the first games on the switch meaning you only had this, zelda, or Mario kart to buy.
The game needs a game changer, something more than just a story mode or 5 more characters, the gameplay needs to change to be more appealing to normies, more intuitive. That or putting Springman as a fighter in smash bros which would make those autists buy the game
Nintendo really, really, fucking REALLY wanted it to be the next Splatoon, and it just wasn’t. Not even fat Twintelle ass could save it.
user.
Marketing is all you need
I wish I could enjoy this game, pretty everything except the actual gameplay intrigues me
Do you have proof of this statement?
I keep seeing it but never once saw offical word in this matter.
Splatoon has a very intuitive and braindead gameplay, everything in the game tells you subconciously how to play, ARMS has a very specific way of playing, which if you don't like you Will never like the game, it does not play like punch out, it plays like a shooter that is also an arena fighter
Change it into a full blown single player action game.
You don't need to, I truly like ARMS gameplay and I think it only needs some small changes to make it faster and more intuitive and the idea I have would not change anything about the gameplay the game has nowadays
>I truly like ARMS gameplay
Well I don't and I care more about me. I really like the characters and style so was disappointed that the game never clicked with me
>clown girl's bod is slim
but how does she inflate?
Then hate it.
The games a fighting game. If you cant find a way to like it there then just watch arms 2 story mode videos or someshit
I was hoping for a sequel but this is cool too. I feel like Nintendo is testing if there is still an active interest in ARMs with this tournament. Most companies bury something if it doesn’t sell millions but I like that Nintendo is staying on ARMs’ side despite it not being a colossal hit like Splatoon was.
OK calm down.
Why the fuck would they bury a 2 million seller?
the idea I have would make the game click with you, for starters do you like punch out?
It is good.
>IDW comic never ever
have you ever played punch out for the wii?
Crazy that got delayed then just dropped off the face of the earth and all we ever got was the preview chapter.
Well, maybe once EPD 9 is done with all the heavy lifting for Mario Kart Tour, Yabuki's crew can revisit ARMS for a sequel or whatever.
Yes
you can clearly see ARMS is something Yabuki personally liked and loved, so it is like splatoon for the animal crossing team, it is something they themselves gave birth to and have a connection to it, it would be make a sequel in the same generation tho, is like having two mario karts or two zeldas made for the exact same generation, BOTW was a wii u game
have you played the wii boxing game from wii sports in the wii? did you like that?
It was ok to mess around with.
As a fighting game fan and an ERPing slutposter, I'm grateful for ARMS for both its gameplay and its girls.
Zeldas do regularly get made for same gen though, give or take bleeding into the next one.
>NES: Zelda 1 and 2
>SNES: LttP & BS Zelda(arguably)
>N64: Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask
>Game Boy: Link's Awakening, Oracles duology
>Gamecube: Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Four Swords Adventures
>GBA: LttP Remake+Four Swords, Minish Cap
>DS: Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks
>Wii: Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword
>3DS: Link Between Worlds, Triforce Heroes
>Wii U/Switch: Breath of the Wild, BotW2
Honestly it's only just because main console Zelda development tends to run so long that it conveniently straddles a generation division, and then the next game usually has the luxury of running with the same engine as the frame to work with.
It's really only multiple 3D Marios that are so strange, and even then, Galaxy 2 was built using ideas they already had during SMG1, and 3D World and 3D Land were basically designed and developed almost simultaneously.
as much as I like making fun of it, I really wish Nintendo actually went through with this. Not only because Arms could have led to a fucking awesome comic but also because it might have been able to open the doors to other Nintendo properties ripe for the comic picking
It's never been officially said, but come on. Is it really that much of a stretch to think that they wanted their most recent new IP with a multiplayer focus to succeed as much as the last one?
Arms doesn't look like is has a huge budget anyway
Don’t chain people together in 2v2s.
Slightly larger stages with more in terms of platforms / hazards.
Faster running and the ability to free the camera from locking onto people
The game’s great as is but atleast the 2v2 was ruined by that fucking belt. The rest of my post is my autistic wishlist
I'm sure all 7 competitive Arms players are ecstatic.
>25 Iwata funbucks to spend on the eShop
It ain't gonna feed you or keep the lights on but that's not a bad prize at all.
>out of nowhere
cringe
>Direct Rumors for March 26
>Nintendo randomly brings this game up for no reason when they easily couldve chosen another game like Tennis Aces
IT COULD HAPPEN BROS
Gomen gaijin san, your input isnt wanted
No it was just marketing and some fixes that it needs
Reminder they made people watch an Arms Direct specifically because s Splatoon 2 trailer was premiering after it
>Spend entire marketing with top notch Biff voice acting commentary
>Actual Game is just random noises
That was your first mistake
Arms:
>Unique fun concept
>Fightan, something nintendo hasn't explored much outside smash bros
>Brand new, colourful IP with an all appealing art style ala splatoon
>Cool character designs
>Rep got into smash as an assist trophy and was considered as a fighter
>Game was a financial success and big time
Theres absolutely no reason why we shouldn't expect a sequel announcement soon. All the ingredients are there.
I wouldn't be surprised if another arms rep got into the second fighters pass for smash bros when they finally get around to doing it when the corona outbreak dies down
Nintendo's biggest mistake was not marketing it as well as Splatoon.
>is it that much of a stretch that they want a new ip to be a crazed new popular hit
Yes?
when do they ever release the sequel to a multiplayer game on the same console
Mario bros 1 ,2 and 3
It got a lot of marketing. But a fighting game of any type is not as easy to sell as a shooter.
Otherwise SNK wouldn't constantly be on welfare.
shooters sell to really wide demographics. Fighting games are a far more niche genre.
Now I know you'll bring up Smash or some shit, but fuck you the appeal of that game is Mario fighting Solid Snake, fighting games with original rosters are much tougher sells in the general market.
Happened with Splatoon. Especially in Japan.
Yes it did.
But that's not relevant to what I said.
>Pattern fags
I just realized that ARMS is the closest thing we will get to a proper Virtua On successor.
