This game is like watching a show except you need to sit through a half hour of horse riding between each episode. How come I 100%'d Red Dead 1 but I had to force myself to finish just the main story in this one? I don't know what it is about it. I can't think of a single thing it does worse than the first one but it's like they forgot to make it fun to play somehow.

Since being quarantined I just buy ingredients, open my catalog, and mess around the internet for 45 minutes until its done. Also if you hold left trigger while riding the wagon it autopilots to your destination. Easy money and I'm not even playing.

Even till the end Arthur didn’t stop going along with his plans and the bullshit until he came to the full realization Dutch was going to get everyone killed or arrested.

The Legendary pelts get sold to the Trapper, he has a few locations out around the map but he has a permanent shop in Saint Denis. Save up your money to upgrade dutch's tent in camp, then upgrade arthur's to get the free fast travel. You can fast travel from camp or from any set camp in the woods. If you want stranger missions, some appear during certain chapters while others you got to search for. Some stranger missions may have multiple parts as well. Sell stuff at the Fence if you want, it unlocks in chapter 2 after the second hosea mission but there is a shop in Vanhorn, Rhodes, and Saint Denis

Once Hosea died, and after chapter 5 there is a big power struggle within the group. Micah has always been a kissass and trying to become the new prized pony to Dutch, agreeing with his rash ideas and trying to please him all the time.

You can get your hat back on your horse. Legendary bear pelt goes to the trapper, there are a few around the map just google it. Money isn't really an issue, don't worry about it. Missions are placed around the map in a way that you'll just find them while doing other stuff. The butcher is where you'll sell most stuff.

Dutch went along with Micah because he kept loyal to him but with Dutch's god complex, even when he saw Micah was a rat he couldnt confess it because it was show Dutch isnt that powerful. Duitch always has to be in some sort of power over everyone in any situation.

They turned it into an interactive movie. Everything about it feels heavy and shit. I just got to the epilogue after buying it on PS4 release day and dropping it for a full year, and I'm minded to just drop it here. Completely tedious dogshit that I'm playing out of pure autism.

If it helps you can set a waypoint on your map, start riding the horse and turn on the cinematic camera. The horse will navigate to wherever the waypoint is without you needing to pay attention to the game. That's how I managed to finish the game, fucking around on my phone through all the horse riding.

The girls, Mary-beth, the black one, it was easier for them to get into society since they're women. But the men, Dutch, Micah, Javier, Bill, they were condamed to live this way until the very end.

Replaying it now for the third time after not playing for like a year and I'm appreciating it more than ever. The level of detail, the voice acting, the writing, the world design, the atmosphere, is all of insanely high quality and it really just mogs every other open world game. I even love the gameplay, honestly its fun as hell once you get a grasp of the mechanics. There's plenty of flaws for sure, but goddamn if it isn't one hell of an experience.

The scene in redemption 1 when John and Dutch saw each other for the first time in years at the bank was so well done.
It came off so real and tense, Dutch trying to get in johns mind mentioning Abigail but John remaining cool.

I loved RDR2, but Micah was such an unlikable and predictable villain. I know that was the intent, but for a game inspired by Western movies, he didn't really have any redeeming qualities of Angel Eyes from The Good, The Bad, The Ugly who at least had a code of ethics even if he was evil and greedy.
Micah just a shit. Constantly lying, pulling punches because he knows he's untouchable as a right hand man and just a cowardly asshole right to the very end.

You can totally explain away Arthur’s behavior but it’s a little hard to accept that the only racist in the game is some Fox News Yas Forumstard parody character. I mean I get it, it’s a fucking kideo game and the bar for historical realism is pretty low but I personally would have been a lot more immersed in it if it tried to really recreate that era. That being said, it was a really, really bad moviegame with terrible writing so the historical authenticity was the least of its issues. Fucking shit up in free roam was fun tho.
