There was alot of good information, it was ill advised for their first public release to be their GDC talk. I understand this is what they already had prepared. Fortunately for sony they still have time actually show to the consumer what to expect. They lost the power war by a wide margin but at the end of the day. Games sell systems so their next public outing needs to show a launch title that will get people excited.
For me if they announce full backwards compatibly all generations then I will fully commit to team Playstation next gen. If not even just PS4 backwards compatibility is a better selling point for me than the series X.

Sony is usually really good at hyping up their underpowered hardware and the fact that they are having a hard time doing it for the PS5 shows how bad it's going to be. They got too comfortable and lazy.

probably only Sony's first party and a select few AAA devs have those kits and they probably are prototypes since PS5 specs wasn't even finalized till recently. That's why they didn't reveal the console sooner.
