I don’t know for sure if there are night events, but I had 4 sets of 4 stars (so 12 shooting stars) come down at like 11 o’clock pm until like 11:45 (that’s when I went to bed).

You’ll hear a noise (like in New Leaf), you look up at the stars with the right joycon stick then press A (make sure to not hold anything in your hands when you press A).

link the nintendo app to your account then you use the animal crossing part of the nintendo app to scan QR codes, go into your custom editor in game on the switch, press + to download any saved QR codes from your phone, and paste that onto a slot.

They’re a 6, slightly larger than a sea bass. I caught 4 yesterday on accident. They’re on level 2 and 3 of your island. If you want a real challenge, catch the Barreleye fish (ocean fish, shows up 9PM-4AM) I had to use like 110 fish bait to catch that fucker. It has the same shadow size as the horse mackerel.

got a shooting star shower tonight and its fucking insane. the nights are amazing in this game.
The string fish's shadow is large and can only be found at the river source on the 3rd level. Use fish bait starting at 4pm. You can also get golden trout this way.

Not everyone who time travels expects the game to be something different. Some people just want more to do in the time they have to play, want to reduce the material grind and not have to waste 2000 nook miles every time they want more wood.

I'm a NEET but even I feel like timegated content like this is bullshit. What about all the wagecucks who go to bed early because they have to wake up for work tomorrow, or night shifters who are working during that entire time? What about people who spend the last couple of hours before bed with friends/family/significant others? Timegated content is bullshit that excludes entire sections of the population and promotes and unhealthy and addictive lifestyle. All content should be available 24/7 for people who spent fucking full price for a game. Putting content behind effort/skill walls is fine because everybody can find free time to play, but making that time specific hours is why I have never bought a game in this series and never will. It's a good way to lose millions of customers because the greedy company wants to bait virgin video game addicts with no lives who they hope will become whales.

TT is fine if you just want to shift the clock, like if you're only on late and want the shops to actually be open when you play.
Skipping days so you can grind more or get shit early is not fine, it completely breaks the purpose of the game.

I already caught an oarfish, a coelacanth on a non rainy day (expeditions are weird man), a barreleye, 4 or 5 surgeons and a golden trout. But this fucking string fish, alongside merlins and tunas are so fucking elusive.
