They aren't really fighting against the whole world. Western industry is mostly your typical Anglo monopoly with some exceptions from North Europe. It would be nice if we had more slav and med games.

There isn't any with 'good' gameplay right now. VC is just a dumbed-down anime XCOM. Dork Souls and Nier Automata are your standard run-of-the-mill ARPGs (even though the aesthetics is god tier). Traditional JRPGs sucks now, with few exceptions, and those exceptions are only available on consoles.

Vesperia has a good combat system that builds itself up over the course of the game into some super fun, crazy shit. To say it's the worst in the entire series is wild. If you don't like slow starts, don't play JRPGs.

Persona 3 doesn't let you control party members so it's not only the worst Persona game by default, it's probably one of the worst JRPGs in existence. I've never heard of a turn based JRPG that doesn't let you control your party members. Themes and story aside, it's a video game first, and that's shit gameplay.
