Also protip, leech talismans + heal on yokai ability hit + extraction talismans + heal on amrita absorb with a good spammable ability can get you fairly close to being able to keep your Yokai form up indefinitely.

I know the DLC will probably be Heian period stuff, but I wish they'd fill in the timeskips a bit. A DLC to add all of Nobunaga's missing battles like Nagashino and burning all the monks would be cool and would help explain why Mitsuhide betrayed him. And another to show Tokichiro's rise to power by fighting the Chosokabe, Shimazu and Hojo.

Do you have a Divine Branch? You can exit without losing your amrita.

Yeah, also don't pick the wrong one.
One has infinite uses but you lose all amrita, while the consumable one lets you keep it.

You're supposed to Iai when a good opportunity arises. It's probably the best burst damage attack in your arsenal for 1kat, so learn when best to use it.

Once you start the mission it just slaps you straight into a room with the boss, no shrine or fuck all so I can't summon.

Is that really so? Charging takes time, in that time I already hit the enemy several times with my katana with light attacks.

That's what I've been doing but now I'm out of ammo and I'm having serious trouble burst countering his AoE since I'm stuck without a brute because no shrine.

I just fucking hate how you need to fight bosses input perfect the whole fight since you die in one fucking hit with less than 30 constitution.

Good times to use it are before and after a grapple/final blow, or while the enemy is getting up. With good timing you can break their ki, Iai, grapple, and Iai again for a pretty substantial amount of damage, and the enemy can't be attacked while getting up anyway, so you may as well charge an Iai during that time.

Yes, but then you learn their patterns and how to respond to their moves, it all clicks, and it feels awesome perfectly weaving in and out of their attacks knowing that a single hit could take you out.

I like the one where he hits me once and can follow up while the game won't let me dodge if I survive the first hit or the one where he blocks 2 attacks before dodging to the side and one shotting me whilst my character is still stuck in place from hitting his guard.

Also also, higher single damage attacks scale much better with the player at full health and enemy at full health bonuses, so make sure you're trying to use those to their best as an Iai build.

I wish I was that guy but the truth is by that point for me I'm just fucking sick of hearing the same music and voicelines and seeing the same walls and enemy.

If it's any consolation, then those 230K amrita will be very easy to come by when you reach the end of the game. Just quit and be careful about going into missions that don't have shrines.

You can tell if they have shrines by looking at the quest chart at the world map.

It would be more fun if the human bosses didn't blatantly cheat with damage x100 what you can do and massive health and stamina pools that are brutal to drain.

The thing is too if I had started this mission with a brute counter and snake core I'd have fucking walked him since it makes the game babymode.
