Show me some good RTS games, grand strategy games, 4X, and tactical turn based games that come from Japan. You fucking can't. If watered down shit like Nobunaga no Yabõ, Fire Emblem, and Disgaea are the epitome of Japanese strategy games, they still have a long way to catch up with the West in terms of strategy games. Hace you even played any Rance game, let alone Sengoku? I hate anime, but Rance is way too good. The characters are way too charismatic and the story is amazing, to put it simple. Add to that nice gameplay like in Sengoku Rance and you'll see why people love Rance games.

The best and worst thing about the Rance series is is completely changes what kind of game it is each game. It keeps the series from going stale but at the same time you get some real duds gameplay-wise like 5D.
