You're not chopping enough wood dummy. I have like 12 hives and they're almost all from chopping wood.

I'd rather not add an extra cumulative 5-10 minutes shaking all the trees before I chop them.

I do that, but there's still not enough time to swap before I get stung.

Compared to past entries in the game, this one is a slowburner, and I can't say I'm terribly fond of the whole Nook Miles thing this game does, maybe it gets better, but in the first half of the game, racking them up is frankly tedious. Take advantage of the duplication glitch, and duplicate the Nintendo Switch item ingame, you'll have your first million bells in an hour, do it all day long and you could probably have 5-10 million. Me and my cousin did it, and we pulled in 225k each time (without the extra inventory slot, 150k). If you have the Nooks Cranny upgrade already, keep in mind that the dropbox will lower your profits just a little bit, but it's not a big deal since you're generating free money.

Definitely time travel a bit to make the first half of the game less of a slog and open things up alot quicker than you normally would, might as well while you have the opportunity with this wonderful little glitch.

But yeah, the Animal Crossing games are just truly great games to have fun and relax, and New Horizons is no exception, it's almost like Stardew Valley meets Animal Crossing with this one.

No, but it's a pretty small pool of "outdoorsy" things. I got the pole as well but my sister got a manhole cover and a gas pump.

Shaking trees doesn't take that long, don't be hyperbolic. Its the best way to make sure you're not getting bees to the face. Shake like six near eachother, and once its clear, get wood from all of them. It's easy.

And you just might find the free piece of furniture that's in a tree every day

It's random. You plant two plants next to each other and water them. A red and yellow rose might make an orange rose. Others may make black or blue variants. Sometimes you just get another red rose. It's random. Just plant and water them.

Does the game still have a specific number of trees in the village for optimal rating?
