preference. Personally every weapon sounds better in eternal besides the balista compared to the gauss cannon. Every weapon also has its uses compared to 2016 where you crippled yourself using anything but SSG and gauss.

I like almost everything about it except a few minor gripes with mechanics here and there. And the story is shit. I don't mind having a more narrative-focused game but the way it's just constantly jerking off doomguy is reddit-tier. In 2016 it was depicted in a much more restrained and satisfying way IMO.

what’s funny about this game is that the pacing isn’t great in the first couple of levels, you feel like you’re constantly running out of ammo and dont have enough options

and then you get to level 3 or 4 and things open up a bit, you get a few more upgrades, you get back into the swing of things, and it’s good again

i think most of the people who don’t like it just didn’t stick with it long enough
