I''m not saying that they turned her into a A-Cup, but they did obviously hold back on her sex appeal, which is not in the spirit of the character. Tifa was designed with sex appeal in mind, so the same way they amplified everyone's else physical and personality traits, they should have done the same with her. They compromised the artistic merit of the game and the vision of the original designers with that move.

Nomura's proportions in old art were whack as fuck, not to mention Sephiroth's weird triangle head. If we tried to 1:1 that shit the characters would be fugly.

Shes definitely hotter, but that's inevitable when you're comparing ps1 pixels to modern graphics, the problem is that they held back on how hot she could be.

I'll reserve my judgement on the size until the game comes out, I've seen many inconsistent screenshots, but square is on record saying that they intentionally held back on her sex appeal because having loose big tits wouldn't make sense while body slamming monsters that are 3 stories tall.

Yeah its no accident that out of the all girls in the game Tifa is the one that most people think of big tits as being one of her defining physical features. Its not like they were crazy huge, but the developers certainly drew attention to it, even in her win pose, that's why people think "BOOBIES!' when they think of Tifa.
