They did with Battlefield 3, and then improved it further with Battlefield 4. Battlefield 1 was better than Battlefield 2, but not as good as 4.

I've played every Battlefield game on PC since the Wake Island demo, except for Hardline and V. And that free to play Tf2 knockoff one.

no everyone really sucks at making fps games.
they have all been awful for about 10+ years now.
The only one that has even sorta felt good aiming wise has been paladins but the userbase of that game is brazil and chinese hackers.
Most games feel like overwatch where youre basically aiming with an xbox controller using your elbows. Its just soooo clunky feeling. I hate it.

Fucking battlefield is a joke now with halo energy bars and triple headshot snipers to kill someone.
They literally take every aspect of battlefield thats good and throw it in the trash.

The only character class thats even close to being decent is always MUH ASSAULT class whos weapons outclass everyone but are still nerf gun trash.
It makes me sad because I really liked battlefield 2.

Not really, there are helicopters you can pilot if you're autist enough, and commanders can call down napalm and artillery. It's more like BFBC in the sense it's infantry focused.

BFBC2 makes me question the value of planes in modern battlefield games, usually they just take off and fight each for muh KDR completely separately from the actual match going on below, only occasionally shoving out flares as a "press to not die" QTE. Helicopters on the other hand are always an interesting threat.

You see, you need have maps of the right size in order to implement airplanes properly. Unfortunately that has not been the case since BF2 where you still had landing strips that alone where the size of BC2 maps.

Bad Company was universally the worst in the entire series where redditors were so fucking butthurt about MUH DOLPHIN DIVING because they were shitters who dont know how to adjust aim for hitbox changes that they literally deleted prone and other human movement mechanics and cod arena'ed the maps to attract the shitters from cod.

It was universally the death of battlefield and the beginning of the consolebaby blizzard tier mouth shitting into the bf series.Vietnam was the same thing except with helicopter music and a flamethrower which were the only good things introduced into the series since bf2, but were left out entirely since then.

BC and BF3 to bf2 is like comparing overwatch to TF2.

Also the fucking claymores on the ladder or the stairway causing you to have to usually murder everyone and climb that other ladder and jump from the roof nearby and do it with a medic duo at least to eat one of the claymores and kit switch revive the martyr.

Literally the only issues with the new battlefield is the fact the maps are shit, also only mega autists and armchair generals liked bf2, unironically get with the times grandad, it was dogshit

BF2 planes needed one final tweak to be fully balanced. the mini gun range was infinite. you ended up with someone nearly every match doing strafing runs on the AA spots and vehicle spawns from beyond draw distance.

BF2 was when it started to go wrong but at least it was only the leader you could spawn on.

1942, dc and vietnam were way better paced as a result. Your actions had weight to them, there was a lot more risk management and overall a more unique experience that can not be found in today's games
