Mech Assault 1 and 2 are great fun. 2 is especially good because it lets you use a small power armor suit. You really get a sense of scale when you are running around in your power armor and a huge mech comes stomping around a corner.

Zone of the Enders 2 came out on PC recently. If your PC is modern and decent you can emulate the PS3 Armored Core games too.

If you have a PS4, check out the Gundam online game that's available on the store, Gundam Battle Order or something iirc. There's also another F2P shooter mecha game on the Japanese PSN but I forget the name, I think it's Border Break.

There're also a bunch of mecha games on the Switch eShop too, but I haven't tried any of them.

Maybe when they get sick of making Souls and Souls clones Armored Core will come back.

the loot grind is find there's just so little loot to actually care about. too much of the weapons feel the same, especially melee weapons. they should we rework those to have simple but actual move sets instead of the the homing chain thing.

Armored Core 2 has an audio bug that happens on Slim PS2s as well. Apparently it can be fixed with an ini file.

Emulatorfags consider playable different to what real people do. They think 4A, a game where your mech doesn't even have textures and runs at sub 15fps is playable

We've been saying that for 5 years now. I don't think it's happening, especially since everyone important left to make DxM.

I've played and own both. The weapon "grind" isn't really a grind so much as it is the post-game. If you wasted your time redoing missions over and over again in a short time I sincerely feel bad for you.
