So I talked to two squirrels to have them come and only Peanut is showing up while Ozzie moves his fucking Aussie ass in as well.

Now no villagers are showing up to the small islands. I thought one would always be around so I could grind and finally have Ahnka in the game without needing to spend $50 for her card.

Finally got 'em as I approached 60 bait used. Caught at the 3rd/highest level of the river.

friend and i came up with this idea, feel free to expand on it or whatever
we held a fishing competition, whoever got the most money out of their haul after 10 minutes would win their opponents haul times 2. so if their haul was 2000 bells and they lost, they would have to pay up 4000 bells, etc. it was only two of use but im sure itd be more fun with maybe 4 people. you guys should try it out, i plan on making a room tomorrow. keep in mind if you have nooks cranny, you cant sell after 10pm, visitors cant use the jew box outside.

It's way better than how things were handled in new leaf though. I don't have to constantly grind for beetles on some random island anymore. Now I can just relax on my own island and catch expensive fish/bugs. New leaf expected players to spend way too much time grinding which ruined my enjoyment of the game.

Because of the whole second player thing and the fact that you can't have multiple islands on the same switch
I'm player 2 and I agree it's kinda shitty, if the first player stop playing for a while then you're stuck in the game and can't do shit

i guess it's true that "one island per switch" could be hugely disruptive for some people and won't change by playing it more, but still damn yeah

I would probably say that many people playing are used to getting most of the stuff right away and since there are restrictions on this one and it takes about a full week to get everything you would want out of the game people are getting aggravated.
