Obfuscate for obvious reasons, hiding in plain sight, survival, disguise, stealth, spying etc.

Dominate because it's the best social discipline, allows you to navigate the mortal world accurately and effectively.

Protean because aggravated damage + survival. Sometimes you might have to fight and claws are the deadliest weapon combined with obfuscate. If you want to flee, bat/mist form will do it the best and earth meld will let you survive anywhere.

Not even brujah but fortitude wont do jack against celerity + potence, nothing beats that in a straight fight. The ventrue would be better off buying a special forces team or using political means to damage the anarchs instead of going toe-to-toe with some short-fused brujah elder.

Gangrel seems like the best choice if want to try and avoid a lot of the vampire society jyhad bullshit. They have that survivability that lets them pack up and leave in ways the other vampires can't. But they are a pretty shit choice if you are playing to win.

Depends on a lot of factors. V20 or Revised? Potence got nerfed. Prebuffing? That Celerity isn't going to make an appearance in round 1 otherwise and the Brujah won't get to see round 2. And Ventrue are background beasts usually. That Brujah's penalties for fighting a half dozen ghouls and twenty hired guns aren't leaving a lot left for the Ventrue.

Vicissitude has great potential but comes at a price, iirc it's an infection from the tzimisce antediluvian and he can basically take control of all vampires with vicissitude at any moment. Reminds me of the tremere, great kit, powerful clan, magic abilities but no amount of fancy spells would be worth living your unlife blood-bound and a slave to your elder and his elder's orders.

Dominate to get me out of tough situations one on one, I don't have the guts to abuse it but if I have to talk my way out of a crime or something it's easy

I did say in one of the previous posts that the ventrue's domain is in using others to do the job. Straight up one-on-one with a brujah elder is not the same as a a ventrue + ghouled SWAT team vs the brujah. Yeah in that case it's a much better idea if you just want to kill off 1 brujah, but you don't have to be there at all. Also the elder can flee unless you've planned for it.

Yeah that was koldunic sorcery if I remember it right, old clan tzimisce learn it. It's actually pretty cool if you like the theme of nature/spiritual magic instead of the tremere blood/conventional magic, but unless you're from eastern europe it's doubtful you can learn it. But it ain't vicissitude either way. Protean is a good compromise in its versatility compared to vicissitude (better if you count aggravated damage claws) plus no strings attached.

If the scenario was that a ventrue with an army of special forces ghouls walks in a bar, maybe it would turn out different. I don't even like brujah, I think ventrue is a much superior clan but that scenario was a dumb power fantasy that didn't even play to the strengths of the ventrue.
