Is Infinite the worst Sonic character?

He’s pretty bad. Especially the way he just kind of leaves the story and there’s absolutely no finality or resolution to him. Probably because they thought they created such a cool character they’d want to bring him back in future games, lol

My assumption was he'd turnout to be the player avatar or some amalgamation of infinite universes of avatars. Because Infinite was actually just a normal, original character I was pleasantly surprised.

God I remember being so fucking disappointed by his backstory.

He was fascinating in just how edgy he was. Like they took Shadow and made him even MORE blatantly and cartoonishly edgy. His fucking theme says it all, and is character is directly in line with it.

It was SO ridiculous that I got legitimately interested in finding out why he was like that and it was just the most pathetic, stupid reasoning. What a fucking weak little bitch.

Waited for the moment we got to know more about him, but then he disappeared and never came back. The whole of Forces glossed over so much that I was left caring about very little, even with the heavier than usual amount of dialogue.

Infinite and by extension the Phantom Ruby would be cool additions to the series, but since Sega hates money they try to take the obvious edgelord parody seriously, give him shitty unnecessary backstory, torture sonic in the background for no reason and retroactively destroy the ruby's mysterious powers.
They fucking threw the my Mania momentum into the trash with that game holy shit.

You could do that but you're going to end up with a game where Sonic just runs for no reason, which I'm entirely cool with but I think people may want to play a game where Sonic actually talks to someone.

He had potential but SEGA didn't do a very good job with him. He could still be an interesting rival for Shadow if anything. Just to give him a persistent rival.

Zavok has nothing going for him. NOTHING. The neon toothpaste colors that make him unfitting wherever he is, the design which clashes when next to literally everyone, the fact that SEGA thinks he's something that should be pushed, the fact that we're supposed to take him as a serious villain when his track record is being a fucking jobber, he's a literal fucking joke that nobody likes.

Jet is fine-ish, (pales in comparison to say Bean the Dynamite), but the other two are so lame. Especially Stormy. The guy has no personality whatsoever.

I don't count Charmy because he is written to be an annoying kid

The only outright bad Sonic game characters are Zomom, Zeena, Zor and partly Master Zik (but at least he has his relationship with Zavok). Everybody else is at least alright and salvageable.

He’s meant to be naive and inexperienced in comparison to the rest of the cast.

Infinite would have been a far better villain had he been like a creature of malice born from the series' abuse of time travel. Particularly Eggmans with the Phantom Ruby.
Like the Ruby absorbs time distortions and Infinite was the embodiment of that.

Growing up I always thought Jet was cool, until I made the mistake of listening his voice. Did they tell Griffith to act like a chicken? What the fuck happened? The JP VA doesn't sound like that.

Mixed feelings for Storm. I like his design but that's about it, he's nuKnuckles. Could not care less about Wave.

That's probably exactly what they did, the 4kids actors were still kind of new I think so maybe they wanted to make sure Sonic's new voice was distinctive
