I find Rise a step down exactly because of the collectathon. It gates items behind later gadgets so you'll have to fast travel back later. You also need to farm if you want all the upgrades. 2013 can be 100% without fast travelling if you're thorough in each area before moving on. I suppose that makes 2013 a one-and-done game but that's exactly the right 20h game for a giveaway.

After playing this i've come to the conclusion the devs who made it honestly just wanted to hatefuck Lara. They ironically reduced her from a badass strong woman into a sniveling, weak girl who has to keep giving herself self-help pep-talks in between suddenly a quick QTE if you fail you get raped & die.

It's not better than Uncharted because Uncharted characters are way better and if I'm gonna play a movie game I'll play one where i actually like the characters

This, i sadly bought this game and this is BY FAR, the worst tomb raider I've ever played. nothing original, just lame ass cutscenes, shit story, slogging maps, corridors sprinkled with shit QTE like gameplay. even uncharted had more exploring than this.

IF the devs spent as much attention to animating and sculpting lara's ASS they would have made a good game.

The story and characters are terrible in both franchises.
But at least Tomb Raider has actual mechanics and allows the player to fail, Uncharted is polished down to a nub where anything that the developer hasn't scripted for is strictly off-limits.

Uncharted 1-4 have WAY more gameplay than this POS. Just stop lieing on the internet, you're anonymous. just come clean, you haven't played UC. It's no biggie. Just borrow a ps3 from a m8, he'll have UC2 and play it. Then you'll notice just how much of a shitty knockoff TR is. It should have just stayed with its own thing. the previous reboots were fine, and the originals actually stood the test of time. This one is just a major disappointment. only the animation and texturing is nice. That's literally the only positive thing about this 'game'.

Played it yesterday and finished today.
It's not too bad but very casual, even on hard. The environments are alright, reminded me a lot of RE5 nigger slums. More big boss fights and more and harder puzzles would have been appreciated.
