Who /Poison&Hatchets/ here?

hatchet tosses seem to have very very very low buildup. Which is going to make me change how I view how important corruption is once we figure out what the awakening state does for it

Honestly there are so many ways to build poison (I'm using the yatsu and toxic slime skills with shiro spirit) on top of poison shuriken and even the poison arrow skill.
My weapon is the last real source of poison build up, I attached arcana of serpents to bell ringer to help maintain poison on targets and it seems to work well, I found two accessories with 20% melee damage to poisoned targets too.

I'm thinking about joining the 2kat gang with my docahi, do they complement each other well?

Unless they changed it, it doesn't do shit but apply more corruption per hit. What a waste 2bh, I'd prefer having wind and earth again and just have ki guards unlocked in the samurai tree.

Also with Corrupted/Yokai Hatchets the actual throws won't send out the energy waves only the tap strong attacks will. Low Stance has the best one to zip those things out.

I forgot, it also lets you shoot shockwaves with strong hits, but it eats up a lot of your sentience so it's not worth it.

theyre both pretty self sufficient but odachi is good to make up for the lack of range of 2kat

Fuck yes. Mixing both Master Swordsman sets means my 3kat build is essentially complete until DLC arrives.

Yes. The big thing is that Tsukuhara's set has a 7% active skill bonus and Yoshiteru's set has 15% bonus to Sotc. So that's a +22% increase in SotC bonus. Not to mention your increased attack for both 1kat and 2kat from each set.

Is it just me or is Nioh 2's soundtrack really good? I feel like a lot of the themes for the bosses are great/memorable.

In 1 I don't remember many themes. Maybe because they reused so many. I feel like in 2 they had a greater variety of tracks.

the shockwaves would be fine on anything other than the hatchets. For me right now it's just over (sometimes under) 1k. An uncharged hatchet toss comes out at about the same time and hits for 2-3x time. It was neat on 1kat since you spice up your approaches with it but

The shockwave hits at the same time as the melee, you're not supposed to use it as a ranged attack. Hit uncharged High strong from point blank and you'll hit with the swing and the wave with high buildup.

I know that. It's free extra damage and not a small amount of it. But I liked using it for the stagger utility it gave at a distance. More wasteful than throwing even a stone, but a lot cooler looking
