Rank all zelda games!
Glad you like the handhelds user, I'm more of a 3D zelda fan though
Just finished Wind Waker for the first time (HD)
Was really fucking good
Honestly so far all 6 Zelda games I played have been amazing
Something like this
honestly I'm underrating the original here but then again I do like the games above it a lot more, despite what the original brought
If it's not on there, I didn't play it
Prove me wrong retards
>ALTTP and BOTW
but why
>MM
You're wrong. It's literally everything wrong with BotW but people forget that because they weren't alive back then
Hyrule Warriors is not a zelda game, mate.
BOTW = generic open world garbage. Older games had a pass for this because of technical limitations.
ALTTP = boring bosses and shitty hitboxes.
>generic open world garbage. Older games had a pass for this because of technical limitations.
Agreed. But MM should be painted with this same brush then. It's dungeons are only moderately better than BotW's "dungeons" and the main draw is a shitty "open world" and it's vastly overrated side quests that fuel the collect-a-thon of masks, even though people criticise BotW for being a collect-a-thon of equally pointless things
I play video games for the atmosphere so MM is insta SS for me. The game feels very intricate.
PH was so bland that I skipped Spirit Tracks.
I'm judging the GBA port of ALTTP on the basis of the Four Swords stuff; as an overall port it's pretty solid.
Skyward Sword
>botw overwhelmingly rated mediocre ITT
only chads in here right now love you bros
I agree, SS is shit
>my-image
It's basically a Mario game's structure with Zelda logic for the level design. Nothing wrong with that. Fine game.
Gonna piss people off but how I feel is how I feel
Give it a chance. It's a huge step up
I don't dislike any Zelda games includinb the CDI ones they're so bad it shoots right past bad they're kinda fun.
D - means: haven't played it enough to form a really conclusive opinion.
TP would be A/S if I could replay it and skip most of the long boring parts, it's base gameplay is really solid, pacing is just all over the place.
Didn't get to complete MM / ALTTP / Oracles, but have played enough of either to form a pretty conclusive opinion.
I meant S/SS in regards to TP
>BOTW
>SS tier
Ny first time through BotW is the most fun I've had with a Zelda by a mile. I can't ignore that even if it loses its edge on replays
ALL pretty good :)
Aside from being really excited for Twilight Princess when the Wii was first coming out, I don't care much for Zelda as franchise as a whole (when compared to other Nintendo IPs)
BOTW was the first Zelda to blow me away.
Mine. Replaying alttp right now
ok
I think BotW is pretty boring but I wish I felt the love for it other people do. I bought it expecting the best and ended up getting kind of bored with it before I even made it to the second Divine Beast.
Now I'm not saying Ocarina of Time hasn't aged well.
...I'm just saying it's aged about as well as Smash Bros. Wii U.
The only correct ranking
So the oracle games are pretty good, then? I never got the chance to play them.
How much you get out of breath of the wild depends on how much you enjoy fucking around with the physics engine. A lot of it is kind of "making your own game," since the tasks it presents to you can be done efficiently in a mundane way, or you can see what kind of goofy shit you can come up with to do them to keep yourself entertained. It's kind of like gmod.
Edit fixed
I digress, most of the fun in BOTW was walking around this huge world and discovering a new location (although it would have been cool to have good dungeons and more obscure secrets like heart pieces)
Now that I think about it I'd probably drop Majora's Mask lower. I want to rank it high-ish because it's unique and more interesting than the other 3D Zeldas, but I don't actually enjoy the game itself that much.
Finally. I thought we'd go an entire thread without le epic contrarian post.
>wants to play Majora's Mask but I never can
The 3 day/time system just kills it for me. And the first part as Deku Scrub Link just didn't grab me
Based and AoL Death Mountain pulled.
The time system is the coolest part of the game, user. Don't think of it as a time limit, because you can never fail anything by running out of time.
Learn a sequence break to do the goron or zora parts early, or just put some mask cheats on in the emulator, that's what I used to do
>but the game is fun !
Woman-tier
What else am I supposed to judge it on?
nigga u gay
Read a book on ludology before you ever post here again, faggot.
Story, music, graphical details, level design, etc. The weight of each depending on what you enjoy in video games.
I've been meaning to. Just finished replaying ALBW after Minish Cap and the Oracles.
If you play games for fun this isn't the website for you.
I'm about to start seasons and ages. If they aren't as good as you're claiming then I will find you.
Uh, OP... You forgot a couple...
That's why I have multiple games in my top tier, because they all excel in different ways.
I hear this a lot but no one ever explained what they play games for instead
>People write books on this shit
Who the fuck would actually pay to read that?
It also opens up a lot of possibilities in how quests can play out, since failing one might open up others you can do instead.
Bad taste incoming
I'd have probably put ALBW far above ALttP and top tier in general if only the dungeons weren't so straightforward and same-y and it was so easy to tank hits.
