Theres many others such as overpriced mtx and stash tabs not getting updated frequently enough, but those don't really hurt the game

The game is supposed to start at maps but that's when it loses me I lose all sense of purpose and it just feels like mindless grinding from that point. I know there are goals like killing Awakener or Elder and shit but I lose motivation really quickly to actually try and kill them.

Visual clarity is the worst I've ever seen, it doesn't look like they've tested how things look when you get conquerer mobs, betrayal mobs, delirium mobs all in one area. Especially when that area is a small corridor like phantasmagoria.

On death mechanics, this kind of goes with visual clarity, almost every single time I've died this league I couldn't see what actually killed me, it's just some gray un-killable homing missile surrounded by other effects from other monsters that have been turned grey due to league mechanic.

Trying to push clear speed while at the same time punish clear speed. There's no reason for delirium to be timed at all, just let the difficulty determine how deep a player can go.

Monsters spawning in your face that can shotgun, this one didn't bother me too much but now with all the on death mechanic dodging with un-killable homing missiles this really is starting to feel painful.

Every league GGG makes same mistakes then takes 2-3 weeks to patch the league to a better state, but by this time a lot of players have just moved on from the league. I think everyone would rather wait a bit more time to get a new league than have it play like shit for the first 2-3 weeks anyway.

"the game starts at maps" is a meme at best, by people trying to delude themselves that grinding against slightly higher numbers for eternity is gameplay. It's a standard RPG setup of game -> postgame, with the postgame designed to push your character.

I haven't even seen the maps. I always stop around act 2. It's just slow and plodding and getting a party together is pulling teeth.

They've been actively nerfing defences ever since 1.3. There was a time when 4k life in the endgame was considered tanky.

It's another "touch the portal to spawn monsters" league, except this time the monsters are actually challenging enough to make reddit cry. It's not bad, just boring.

It's just dumb players who think rushing to the end of each delirium until they get oneshot is unfair/doesn't give enough loot. You're supposed to take it much slower if you want to survive, and expecting lootsplosions when there are already too many past league mechanics in core is just idiotic. Your loot is hunting for cluster jewels, which already is a sweeping change to builds.

Also, if you're having problems seeing or running the game because of fog, you are not the target demo of a F2P game. Get that SSD already.

incompetent programmers, i played alpha in 2012 we needed 8 years for hardware to catch up for this game to become playable, they also needed like 5 years to fix desynch

Mostly any other ARPG developer being completely impotent or retarded so PoE having no realistic rivals for a very long time. I hoped D4 would have potential to be such a rival, but after that attack/defense reveal it became obvious that suits demanded that game to be made for 80IQ audience and it won't provide anything for people enjoying character building/itemization depth.

Incompetent devs and extreme development bloat. There's so many shitty mechanics and stuff added into the game, the refusal of the devs to add a marketplace into the game instead of having to use shitty third party websites to trade, balancing the game around a few skills while everything else is useless compared to those.

Poe gets away with its numerous flaws simply because arpg market is fucking empty. And it isn't the only one to do so, grim dawn is even worse game but it gets the pass because there's noting else to play from genre after you're tired of poe. Hell, I recall actual reports of people STILL playing Diablo 3 because games of this genre are THAT scarce.
