A Stormbolter is just a more advanced design of the old combi-bolter they had during the Great Crusade that Chaos Marines are still stuck with which was just two bolters welded together and slaved to a single trigger. The stormbolter design is simply more ergonomic and less unwieldy but functionally identical which is reflected in the rules but you'd have to not be retarded and actually know lore to understand that.
