Hellraid, it was supposed to be a big open world co-op dungeon crawling game with loot like diablo but hack n slash gameplay like vermintide. Got cancelled because it was going to take a long time and a lot of money to make and Dying Light ended up being super successful so they chose the safer option and just made Dying Light DLC and a sequel.

I want to play that game on the PS2 so bad before I had one, then I got the console and completely forgot about the game.

Hopefully one day Capcom does something with the IP.

The first game sold well, but was so difficult for people at the time that when the sequel released tons of people decided to skip it. Which is very unfortunate since the difficulty was toned down quite a bit and the overall gameplay received a significant boost.

It's still in development hell. Riptide felt more like something made for contractual obligations. Right now the game is being worked on by the team responsible for Homefront the Revolution

a lot of areas in bethesda fallout 3 are retooled ideas from van buren
