Ultra settings is a meme. Just disabling MSAA, which kills performance in all Rockstar titles, boosts fps by 20% for me. And if you knock down settings that don't make a visual difference and turn off stuff you don't like you get even better performance.

But to be real for a moment some of the settings are borked, for one, water quality tanks fps even when you aren't near water, tesselation rapes console settings so bad with no performance impact, but tree tesselation will bring the gains down.
fur quality is even better at high, but there is an ultra setting in the settings.xml that you have to manually toggle and lock to read only and snow glints

I'm not poor and I enjoy games, so pc is for me. I bought a ps4 at launch, and I just cant play those games at 30fps anymore, so its in a drawer catching dust for over 4 years. Whilst you have to wait to play Doom at real 4k 60fps, I'm already playing it at 4k 120fps. And enjoy your high refresh rate gaming on your shit tv. Most features of the next gen consoles need a hdmi 2.1 tv, and unless you own a LG C9 you're shit out of luck. And those tv's are over 2k. Have fun

nah, it's just got settings that go well beyond what it ran on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, and those versions already looked great. A lot of the effects also have diminishing returns in terms of the visual improvement they offer, it's definitely a game you should tweak.
