If I join another anons island can I shop at their stores?

You can craft one soon

I impulse bought Animal Crossing because Yas Forums hyped it up and I have time to kill until Trials of Mana on PC. Is the content time locked or am I not understanding something? I asked to bring the museum to my island and have a house built but do I have to wait until midnight or a full 24 hours?

I named it Isla Sorna after Jurassic Park.

Are those signatures custom?

The game follows real time clock, so when they say something will be built tomorrow, they literally mean tomorrow.

HELP!
I BOUGHT 1500 TURNIPS AND FOR SOME REASON I CANT PUT THEM IN MY HOUSE STORAGE, WHAT DO I DO?
Can I just put them on the ground or will they eventually disappear?

Yes

You can't use the Nook Inc terminal, but yes you can still buy tools and clothing from any other shops they have available.... I'm assuming since that's how it worked in past games.

Yes you have to wait 24 hours, or rather 6am the following day as that's when changes from the previous day are put in place. It's a game meant to be played day by day, not all at once then move onto the next 'objective'. So you fish for a bit, catch a few insects, maybe craft a few things then call it a day and play something else or do whatever it is you do with your day. Animal Crossing has always been a game you played in bursts.

kek

I don’t understand how turnips work. You buy them and the immediately sell them to the shop for profit? What’s to stop me from just going back and forth all day long making an endless amount of bells?

I've visited abour 15 islands with the nook ticketa now. 1 had bamboo and 1 had cherry. Every other shitter had pear

What fucking gives? I need more fruits

Damn, wish I actually started on the 20th. I wasted time spending time at a friends house. I hate the feeling of being left behind.

Its my introduction to the series but that's good to know, I'm used to blitzing the fuck out of games unfortunately so I feel impatient.

Is your island pears? I don't think the book ticket islands have anything but pears.

Their value fluctuates throughout the week and you can get massive returns if you sell at the right time.

I got oranges from book ticket islands

cant sell them on sundays.

Do you have to invite the first villager at your campsite to stay before things progress? I don't want to be stuck with Henry

Unlucky mate. I’ve done 5 islands, one had apple, one had peaches, one had bamboo, and the other 2 cherry (my native fruit). They all had coconut but I assume that’s just common.

Don't worry, bro, there will be a point where you're pretty much caught up and the "tutorial" is over. You could always fly over to other people's islands and fuck around if you want to keep playing a bit

Put them in your basement like the slav you are.

They're an item called Autograph Cards.

How the fuck do I store them then? They won’t go in my storage.

You can sell them starting tomorrow and the price changes twice per day.
You want to sell higher than you bought them.

I don't have a basement, I held off on paying for my house so I could finance it with turnip bux, but now I got nowhere to put them. Can I place them outside of my house, since my small house is already full, or will something bad happen?

i have no idea, can't you just put them on the ground?

Anyone willing to dupe me the special edition switch ingame using the cardboard box dupe glitch?

getting that giant mountain of shit turned in felt so good. and the second upgrade giving you 240 storage slots now is amazing.

>not just hodl until next sunday

It's probably fine if you just put them on the floor in your house, user.

Don't worry, everybody has that feeling when they first start out. Hell I've been playing AC since the GameCube days and I completely understand what you're getting at. You want to do more, but you can't because there isn't enough there.

Of course there are people who have been abusing the game's clock since Friday, fast forwarding time so they can gain access to facilities sooner. There's also a form of item duplication that can be exploited for make some quick money. Bottom line, no one's telling you how to play, but don't take it seriously. That isn't what Animal Crossing is for nor is that what it was meant to be about. Like other user said eventually you'll 'catch up' with everyone else.

But my floor is already completely covered in turnips.

Just do it by yourself locally if you want to infinite money that badly.

I am post code

Do the random islands stop being random when you've invited the 3 new villagers? Mine all look the same

I would only use cheats in AC once I'm completely done and bored with the game.

Fuck I just missed the turnip girl in my timezones, does anyone have her so I can buy turnips? I'll bring oranges.

This fucking museum holy fucking shit

i got one oh five for turnips, anyone have a better price? also got a tiki torch recipe i can give away

Newfag, what are dodo codes, why is the pacing shit, can't even donate anything today, how do I get better clothes besides praying for RNG ballons?

Unrelated to the villagers (islands just get villagers added to them when they're available).
There are only like 3 common islands, and they're all really boring, so it's not too surprising to get duplicates.

Why is this game so grindy? You even need to craft a ton of items for villagers for their move in timer to even start ticking.
Crafting is so slow and aids, gathering materials is gated behind nook tickets unless you're a time traveler and nook tickets are gated behind other grinds (most effective of which are timegated).
Literally what the fuck? This is aids and not comfy at all. I can't actually do anything that I want.

Anyone selling crowns? I'll buy one for 3 nook tickets.
Dodo Code - 62L50

>Why is a game that is meant to be played over the course of a year so grindy?

First AC game I take it.

>Got a dupe DIY recipe for something that every player has by default
For what purpose?

Attached: HardPass.png (439x612, 199.5K)

>dodo codes
they're the codes you use to visit/get visited by other players

>why is the pacing shit
it's just not a crazy wacky action game bro, just learn how to chill

>can't even donate anything today
yeah i've been stacking up all kinds of bugs and fishes on my storage for two days now, it's been kinda shitty desu

>how do I get better clothes
either unlock the nook's crany so you get the hedgehog's clothing shack or just make your own clothes using the pro designer app, it's one of the main appeals of the game anyway

>what are dodo codes
You use them to invite or visit islands of total strangers on Yas Forums.
>can't even donate anything today
Are you just starting? If so give your stuff to Nook and eventually he'll call Blathers to set up camp on your island.
>how do I get better clothes besides praying for RNG ballons
The Nook Inc terminal sells clothing redeemable from Nook Miles as well as few shirt and pants you can buy with actual bells. However they arrive by mail so you have to wait until 6am to receive them.

It's about doing the things you want over a week, not in a single day. Learn to play for a hour every day and appreciate at least one slow thing in your life. It rewards long term and it's a great game to show case how bad instant gratification has become.

my town is gone. this would have been my third day

Can turnips safely be store outside on the ground?

my lite (bought used) has drift on the left stick (thank fuck it isn't the right stick) so i'm waiting for amazon to deliver my new analog.
only 3 stops away.

Nope

I'm afk but enjoy bug/fish bros

WHAT?

I put a single out that I'm going to leave for days. Hope it rots and I can get ants after a week.

Holy fuck, how hard is it for japs to slap some FXAA on this shit at least? Looks abysmal for current year.

>he bought a lite

Is 92 a good buying price per turnip? How much is she selling for you guys?

So I'm at that point where I get to plot down three new houses. If I've only invited one villager, will the two other be random? If I wait with building the two next houses, will they be villagers that I have invited or is it already decided for me?

Christ this is a polarizing time. I'm worried about two things.
The harms yet to come from the Chinese virus.
And shaking a tree and having a wasp's nest fall.

Hello. Welcome to my island!

Broaden your horizons.

Shake down the trees with your net in hand.

Do they rot after a day or something?

Dude literally just emulate it

that's pretty good if you find a price below 95.

Nothing rots
