Thanks to these guys we have a bunch of games using F.E.A.R's engine

Looking for a game
It was similar to Crysis, from around the same era, FPS, green forests and futuristic bases and soldiers
the name I think was 2 words one started with C

Chrome: Specforce

Played the second one.
Supposedly a stealth game but every enemy in the level got alerted when you killed someone using a silencer.

I remember downloading an anime girls screensaver on the family computer and I'd have this running to look like I was just playing games whenever I heard someone walking by.

This was such a fucking great game, it absolutely needs a sequel or even a remake.

I don't know why I quoted someone in that post

I remember playing this one as a kid. I thought the modular multi-weapon thing and wrist UI displays were rad as fuck.

Iranian COD clone.

igdb.com/games/fighting-in-aden-gulf

I would post a download link, but since the exe is infected i wont.

Could only track down a copy of the game on some Iranian warez blog.

It had a bitcoin miner in it, I did managed to clean the exe somewhat with Windows Defender but I still wouldn't trust it.

played that sooo much. great music, funky art style of the floors, and if i remember correctly a massive amount of different characters to choose from

I played the first one, the stealth in that game went like this:
>shoot the shit out of the first guard you see
>aggro the entire base
>win the 50v1 shootout because the AI is literaly retarded and often just stands still
>find the alarm button
>turn the alarm off so enemies stop respawning (yes, that's a thing in some levels for some fucking reason)

there's a mission where you're stripped of your weapons but they immediately give you a desert eagle and a dragunov so it's back to murder straight away
it's a painfully mediocre game

what's that strategy game/FPS hybrid in space called? PS1 era graphics, neon green UI, there's hovertanks and green foggy planets and crashed ships and shit
you can dismount and go on foot, give orders to troops and have buildings constructed

That looks like Battlezone 2. Is it not?

LETS GET THOSE BUCKS

>hey let's take a point and click adventure game, the least gripping genre there is, and try to make a horror game out of it
>I'm sure people will get immersed and scared, this'll be a huge hit!

It got shit on for being nothing but spraying waves of bugs for the entire duration. But that's a good thing. And it was surprisingly hard.

I don’t remember it though. :(

Old ass 90s game, PC
3rd camera action shooter, polygonal
battle-arena style
you play as a polygonal humanlike robot-egyptian inspired like anubis head and such

Anyone remembers the name? I played only a demo back in the day.

This is the fucking one of the best games I've ever played.

Btw the title is Hostile waters: Antaeus rising

This fucking slavjank

gamespot.com/articles/front-line-force-10-released/1100-2655704/

Did some beta testing. Was pretty fun.

I wish more people gave it a chance

sucks because the concept is nice, although now you have plenty of options that try to tackle that sort of gameplay like Ghost Recon Wildlands/Breakpoint, MGSV, Far Cry, Sniper Elite, Sniper Ghost Warrior, etc...
It just sucks that the enemy AI is still so stale across the board, its always the same with them forgetting shit that just happened, ignoring dead friends, investigating alone with simply just going to the source of noise and squint at the darkness.
For all the shit it did I liked how in Splinter Cell Conviction at a certain point of panic the AI would barricade themselves in a room and wait for the player to come instead of trying to hunt alone.
MGS2 was very advanced in this stuff but it still was such a limiting game that it made that level of AI kind of pointless with how little it can shine

it's kinda ridiculous that mgs2 is still near the top when it comes to enemy AI, you'd think we'd be way past that point now

The thing with 'no going back' mechanics like that is that players will just save/reload until they find their desired path through the challenge

This means that players experiment via save/load rather than playing the game and that's generally a bad thing

best shmup I've ever played

FEAR also had exceptional enemy AI that holds up to this day. It's a lot easier to create a convincing and surprising AI when your maps are small and simple like in FEAR or MGS2.

They just rolled on the Shadow of the comet success
Prisoner of ice was still pretty good

Lmao, I played this one. Some of the best unintentional comedy ever found in a "horror" game.

In FEAR it's mostly combat AI where it's more about flanking (and especially with FEAR having the AI sound like they are performing something smart with how they use the voice cues).
MGS2 does have some nice variety in how they proceed even when just searching for the player, probably that aspect is more advanced than their combat AI.

>Sniper Elite
I got the 4th one with psplus. 15 years after IGI2, same problem where all the enemies of the map will converge to your position if you're spotted. Then you walk around empty buildings.
It doesn't even make sense. I know enemies going back to normal after finding a body or hearing an explosion is stupid, but just have them be more vigilant, upgrade their equipment, call for reinforcement, place turrets, etc while still holding their position. Which is pretty much what Chaos Theory did.
