Umineko, Muv Luv or Fate?

Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky
Alternatively Higurashi
Maybe after I'm done with this Lovecraft compilation sorted in chronological order
currently at the sadow out of time
spooky cone people
fate/stay night is great, fuck FGO tho
what is the best place to get these vns?
Umineko and Muv luv have steam releases, but I'm poor and I don't know if the are censored or something
Muv luv
I used vndb years ago, dunno if it even exists nowadays
You can easily get these via nyaa. The Steam release of Muv Luv is censored but not Umineko
So how bad is the censorship?
Utawarerumono
They removed all the sex scenes basically
Muv-Luv. It's getting a sequel and MLA is finally getting an anime.
Umineko is great until episode 5, then afterwards it becomes a complete disaster and ends with the writer literally insulting the readers for wanting a real answer to the shitty story. It's popularity comes solely from actual trannies.
Fate is a amazing idea executed really badly. It's just disappointment after disappointment. I wish I never got into this series. If you want chunni read Demonbane or Dies Irae instead.
>umineko
there's a gradual tone shift from mostly serious closed room murder mystery to bizarre over the top closed room murder mystery that starts in 2 and finishes sometime in the middle of 3
it's good but the series is very very long
>muv-luv
the original is actually two vns, one that's a traditional dating vn, another that's alternate universe where humanity is fighting aliens and the aliens are winning. the second one feels kind of rushed and unfinished, the endings for the second one are basically all the same but with names and sprites swapped out. there is one route that is distinctly missing from it and that route is basically the entirety of alternative, which is the sequel and is a full vn in itself.
>fate
three routes with lots of bad ends. enforced route order. first route is introductory and not great. second route is my favorite and is about exploring the protagonist's identity and sense of ethics. the third route is most women's favorite, guess why and i believe nasu said it was about how to reconcile the protagonist's ideals against a more or less incompatible reality.
it gets a bit verbose at times. lots of info dumps and the cooking scenes were a meme before half this board were born.
all three are worth reading imo. i'd say start with whichever sounds the most fun to you.
what is realta nua? is it an all ages version?
thats the thing with some of these games, I can never be too sure which one has the good translation and no censorship
it's complicated
it was an enhanced remake with the routes split out into their own individual programs and with some actual animation and stuff. i think they may have added some scenes. but they did remove ero scenes, but i think the patch that translates it has an option to bring them back? i can't remember
What's the point if there's no bug rape?
Muv luv
umineko for best girl
You will quit less than half away shit is too cringe
This, though 2nd parts a letdown
>Dies Irea
Read this OP, as chuuni as it gets
Why do you say that?
didnt vndb only list patches instead of full downloads?
Once everythings set up in part 2 it really starts rushing through stuff, and once the 2nd arc of pt 2 is over act 3 is just a sprint to the end with little time to really take anything in. I see what they wanted to do and still loved the story, just wish they would have taken some more time to breathe, especially that 3rd act.
How do the other two games fare?
Posting best girls
Uta1s a fine game, though it also suffers a bit towards the end with rushing to the finish, but it was atleast fairly stand alone til they made uta 2. Uta2 is in 2 parts. 1st parts overall very nice for just character interactions/world building, loved it way more than i thought i would and it all carries into part 2, which again i see what they were doing and i enjoyed it, it just stumbles on execution and developing some things in my opinion
that spoiler effect is non-euclidean
>baka bt has quarantine freelech for 2 weeks
hope they have a good selection
modern vndb doesn't have downloads
for ones with official releases, just buy them, if you want more vns to get translated you have to support the industry
nyaa has a couple
i think bakbt has some? not sure
if you're on private trackers, ab and ggn both have a fair number
my money is venezuela tier and its going down the shitter fast with this quarantine stuff, so that is out of the question
so how do register for gazelle and animebytes? IRC?
read magikoi
Muv Luv
private trackers are typically invite-only. very very rarely some of them will have periods of public registration, but that's very rare. a few of the music ones have irc registration where you have to take a test that shows you understand how to properly encode stuff, but i don't think ab and ggn have that.
if you don't have friends who are already on them, your best bet is to follow the advice in /ptg/
don't ask for invites publicly, even if someone gives you one it's likely to get reported and both you and the person who invited you will be banned from the site. invites are not for public distribution, they're supposed to go to people you know and trust who will actually contribute in some way (seeding past 1.0 counts as contribution).
if you can get into any private tracker and demonstrate a proper ratio, usually most private trackers have a forum section where you can provide your ratio and people may message you an invite. i believe this is allowed.
If the Steam version is the same as the PS Vita version then there is still bug rape, and the description is graphic enough.
God I love Miyako so much
>Muv Luv
>Cant fug the bunbun
0/10
I just did some glancing and apparently you have to get a +6 month old account in another tracker to join
nigga I'll be dead by that point
>Serika
yeah it's not something you're going to get into instantly unless you know someone, it's a process you'd start now so six months from now you have better options available
or you could just run a reasonably sized niche irc channel like i do and get invited to literally everything lol
Muv-Luv Alternative is #1 on vndb for a reason.
If you choose the steam version, there's a patch for the h-scenes you can also get. Personally I'd recommend the older fansub, because for whatever retarded reason the steam version squashes the CGs, and even with the h-scene patch there are a few other things censored. But the steam version has a much nicer UI and isn't that different, so it's really up to personal preference.
So anyway Demonbane
mechs+lovecraft
shit
I'm all in nigga
Here's your Herbert West, bro
Baldr Sky
did they fuck up the steam release too badly?
I heard lots of bad things about the company
>he doesn't know about Altered Fable
I can't say since I got the 18+ version off nyaa. SP is pretty shit by reputation but I didn't find anything wrong with the game.
Muv Luv.
I'm finally getting started on Gundam to see if I can get the same feel as the PTSD arc.
Thunderbolt got close but it's so short. Anything gundam series I should watch that will invoke the same feeling? Holy fuck the PTSD arc was a fucking wild ride.
I watch/read a lot of stuff (both western/eastern) and I don't think anything I know of topped it yet.
if you want PTSD maybe you should consider watching LOGH
because you will get PTSD when you realize its over
I'm powering through 79 right now. I'll check out LOGH once I get tired of Gundam though. I just want to know why people say Tomino is the king of "kill em all".
At least there's always the prequel series to go to after the main series is over.
>getting tired of Gundam
>ever
user...
you'll get it once you get to Zeta I guess
one of the prequel series is so poorly animated it turned me off instantly
the other ones are fine
I got tired of Macross after Plus. I wasn't a huge fan of it and people said it was the best one which left me a little disappointed.
No spoilers but does any series of Gundam ever match the PTSD arc?
Please tell me Jam Project is returning for the adaptation or the Sequel.
I'm okay with Granrodeo though
given the reputation of Muv Luv, No
Tomino has trouble making likable characters so you may actually cheer when they get blown up
fuck you katz
Finished chapter 4 of umineko and uninstalled that shit. It might have been good when the game was coming out in installments and everyone was trying to figure out what was happening but reading it all together is kind of shit, especially because of the pacing between chapters. It's not as interesting as the fanbase will lead you to believe.
Fate is just poorly written and translated AND it has shitty art. Every character could be replaced with a shovel and a wig and fatecoomers will still find a way to fap to it.
Muvluv is the VN of the ubermensch
Yeah, I've watched 79 before and I thought Amuro was being a bitch when he wanted to stop fighting but now I'm with him on that one. I'm surprised nobody is sympathetic to him. Fuck Bright.
House in Fata Morgana, Wonderful Everyday Down the Rabbit Hole, both are excellent reads and slow burns.
Yeah there's a patch that restores the ero scenes but in all honesty the ero scenes only really work in the Heavens Feel route.
TOHSAKA'S ANUS
>"Bye Bye Father!"
>"...You want to see him again, right?"
