fuck off. even scrubs like me can kill him on the 3rd try
Killed him on the second try maybe. At this point no one should have a problem with Demon's Souls in general.
Beat him second try
Easier than both man-eaters and flamelurker
Is that Isshin? Why is her wearing a different outfit in this screenshot?
Who actually was the false king anyway? Just some rando demon? Then why was he strong?
>reduces your soul level by choking you
There is probably a 2 hour youtube video of some loser explaining his theory on that.
He was, get this, the king.
No he wasn't. You fight the king afterwards, in the form of a weird melty half-finished demon.
The False King is false.
Why did Demon's Souls have so much soul while its spiritual successors were largely souless?

Matthew sums it up quite well.
Allante's Avatar.
But I agree: That itself do not answer the question, the question on if he is a ripped double with his own free will or if he is a puppet.
Were bows good in demon's souls? In dark souls 1 and 3 they felt more like utility weapons. In 2, even though it technically wasn't a bow - dual avelyns were pretty devastating when I tried them out.
I used bows a lot with poison arrows to cheese many areas in demon's souls. Namely the area leading up to the penetrator.
I'm surprised he can soulsuck you before I always dodged the grab attack. How can anyone who is good at melee fall for it?
Because it was inspired. Dark Souls games weren't inspired. Even Bloodborne wasn't, calling that game sickdark was apt.
Bows were really good if you upgraded the right one or had the stats for the White Bow. Most common enemies only needed few arrows and of course you'd fight them from afar. You can even cheese some enemies if you knew where to aim or just because most enemies are only dangerous if you get close. The only thing limiting arrows was item weight, how many you bought, white arrows are limited per run, and you might need to switch the current arrow for maximum damage.
Plus some bosses can be shot through the fog but that's pretty much cheating.
>Plus some bosses can be shot through the fog but that's pretty much cheating.
lul
>some bosses can be shot through the fog
Wait, really? That's some next-level jank.
>here, let my internet friend explain it to you
in DaS you can throw bombs over the fog wall to kill some bosses.
If they have played every dark souls already I agree, however if it's their first souls game a struggle is to be expected.
It's how any sensible person took care of the first Maneater.
Then in Dark Souls 1 we had a more polished, less bullshit "double gargoyles" fight where nobody had to do that anymore.
Maneaters have some issue with their air time, but it's a fun fight. To say Gargoyles is a better fight is a bit of an opinion filled baby strangulation of a statement.
I heard bows were good, upgraded one and spent 1,5 hours shooting the blue dragon to death, spending a bit below 400 arrows. What a load of shit
I still don't understand why people struggled with maneaters so much. It was far easier than gargoyles
>talking shit on the nigga who single handedly changed how the soulsbourne series is discussed
lurk more
Nobody here cares about your e-celebs
>I still don't understand why people struggled with maneaters so much.
I don't see why you WOULDN'T understand.
You fight two enemies on a miniscule walkway where a bad roll means instant death. They have long ranged attacks, stagger their aggression so you're always being fucked with and the only way to fight them is to "cheese" the fight in some way around the cauldron.
It's an abhorrent fight in just about every way and the walk back to them is a pain in the ass too.
>boo hoo maneaters knocked me off more than once
lmao
Go stroke your ego elsewhere loser.
>them is to "cheese" the fight in some way around the cauldron
Using the battlefield to your advantage is "cheesing"? Nobody is forcing you to get double-teamed on the minuscule walkway, it's just your own idiocy if you stand there and take it up the ass
Every boss in DS3 seemingly having 10, minute long wombo combos. As well as most enemies having some kind of retard flailing attacks just make me question how it's actually meant to be played.
Are ultra greatsword builds even viable?
When you get maybe one attack per opening with a heavy weapon in, while getting more in via a light weapon, that can do more cumulative damage in 2 or 3 hits, while also leaving stamina for you to roll out.
What would be the point to use a greatsword?
Strength builds just seem to get constantly shafted, it's insulting that you have to level 2 different stats for equipment burden and stamina.
>What would be the point to use a greatsword?
I alternate between greatsword and straight sword in dark souls 3 regularly. One handed greatsword R1 is excellent because it swings in a wide arc, perfect for multiple enemies.
You must be confused, you're complaining and I'm laughing at your inability to adapt. I never claimed that this never happened to me, I just get better instead of complain like a faggot.
The Blue Dragon is both inflated health and takes less damage because you are far away no matter what unless you want to find the optimal point of him breathing fire on you. He'll only take like 20 damage but an archer in 1-4 would take like 1/3 of his health.
It's amazing how every most big enemies in DS games are only a threat to your patience.
How's the damage between the two?
I just see no point in using them when it's just marginally better.
Demon's Souls had it right at least where those kind of swords would knock you on your ass constantly
King Allant left Boletaria to go awaken the old one, he never actually came back, he stayed inside The Old One, a demon dopplehanger took his place on the throne and with help from Fat Ministers took over everything.
>I'm laughing at your inability to adapt
I can adapt just fine, doesn't mean I have to enjoy the fight you fucking numbnuts.
Do you think because I hate fighting the maneaters that I somehow can't get past them or something? Fuck off with your retarded assumptions.
I know better than to fall for the "I just didn't enjoy it" meme. You're just a complainer and a deflecting faggot.
Requires learning to be more conservative with your rolls, which the only other boss that punishes you for doing is the puzzle stealth boss. Even as a gang they're not so much as a threat over the habit of constant barrel rolling
I mainly use greatswords in dark souls 3. Some enemies it does a lot more damage, depends on the damage type. It's not a significant amount but I'm the kind of person to use things for style and I don't care a lick about efficiency. That's why I made a mageblade who uses one handed sword and greatswords (mainly the moonlight greatsword) and only sword-based spells.
So what? You think if anyone doesn't like something they never beat it? That if they beat something that means they have to like it?
the fight has a glitch where the second man eater flies away and never comes back, that was the only problem I had with him.
also the arena you fight him on sucks
>You're just a complainer and a deflecting faggot.
And you're a mindless drone who has to defend every aspect of a game he likes even if it has unpleasant shit in it. Demon's Souls was good, it's not perfect.
>also the arena you fight him on sucks
user be careful, he's going to attack you and call you a scrub and tell you to "git gud" at this rate. This guy has a serious brain problem.
I miss when Demon's Souls threads were comfy and the posters weren't constantly on the look-out for a reason to inflate their self-worth.
Demons Souls fights are weird. Depending on the player and the build some can be piss easy while being hard as FUCK for other people.
For example I've never had ANY trouble with Flamelurker but he was infamous back in the day for killing people. Same with the gargoyles, the first time I fought them they were pushovers but on a later build I was getting slapped around big time. Same with False King too, he's way harder for me now than he was back then, I don't even know why.
Based. Making those pissbabies seethe.
The bosses in Demon`s souls were really that hard they were just there to tell a story. Which is why I like demons souls because it wasnt really a try hard game like every souls game after dark souls 1. Bloodborne was pretty cool though
>Same with False King too, he's way harder for me now than he was back then, I don't even know why.
Me and my friend have level 721 soulsuck exploited characters to fuck around with and we went to False King Allant and decided we would just spam firestorm on him and see if it works.
We cornered him and alternated our firestorm casting and he remained flinched from 100% HP to 0 and we sat there laughing and shoving pizza in our own faces.
Good times.
I can't imagine anyone playing Demon's Souls today having trouble with any bosses, especially if you played any of it's sequels.
>around 2013
>holy shit I finally got summoned as the old monk
>host dies in the stairs
god damn it
It was original and had to be. Dark souls just copied everything from Demon's Souls but changed some stuff to not get a copyright claim from Sony.
Dark Souls 2 and 3 are unoriginal sequels forced out by bamco.
Bloodborne and Sekiro are From's attempts to see how far they can go with making the same exact game, without getting anyone to complain. Safe to say that no one did, and From will forever make nothing but Demon's Souls clones.
more than 20 times is my reality
>Dark Souls is praised as one of the most challenging vidya ever
>doesn't even have soul sucking
I almost shit myself when those darkwraiths use soul steal on me but nothing really happened so I was disappointed
>grabs me
>"oh god im fucking dead"
>takes my 2 humanity and does like half my health
>"oh i'm fine"
>get parried again and die
My first darkwraith was a fucking roleplayer in undead burg, it was my 3rd invasion and the first two literally destroyed me with backstabs so i was afraid. He parried me and dark handed me to death, all the while just walking menacingly towards me, truly the best community experience i could've gotten.
I didnt even know soul steal takes humanity away from you, I never really bothered to hoard humanities since I just used them to turn back into human form and upgrade my bonfire. I know some weapons like the qualagg sword gets buffed by them but it just seemed like high risk low reward to me
First try bitch. I had the level draining thing spoiled, though.
Pressing R2 while the Dark Hand is in your Right hand will initiate a grab attack, used to steal humanityfrom another player (PVP) or from some NPCs.
A normal Dark Hand will steal 1 humanity from players and NPCs with each grab, even if you are not a darkwraith member.
Ranking up as a Darkwraith will increase the amount of humanity drained with each grab.
Darkwraith +1 = 3 humanity / +2 = 5 humanity / +3 = 10 humanity.
This can be parried, surprisingly.
This move can also be used multiple times to steal all humanity from PvP players and NPCs.
from some wiki, i didn't even know it did more than 1 at a time
You did eventually make a dex build in DeS, right Yas Forums?
No, I made a twinked SL11 invader and spent five hundred hours ruining people's fun
That was long before I had the patience for farming in vidya.
Mind sharing it?
I am on my first DS3 playthrough and had a lot of trouble enjoying my time
not him but what weapon are you using
