Not games, but TMNT and Bluth's version of Secret of NIMH does have the combination of magic and sci-fi.

We lost that 3 gens ago dude. Brown and bloom and skinnerbox took over. The only games with anything like that are paladins and realm royale with the guns powered by magic shit.

I'd play another Star Fox Adventures, but they'd have to get the fur tech and animations right again. If I'm going to stare at Fox's fluffy tail for eight to twelve hours, I'd better enjoy it too.

It depends on the game, you're not going to find animal anthros in say Metal Gear or Doom.

Though speaking about this I do resent Final Fantasy LOSING the fantasy theme with each new game. I don't count remaking FF7 though I do blame that game for being the first one to really majorly reduce the fantastical elements in the franchise. What I wouldn't do to see the Burmecians return to the franchise.

But there is, did you know that in One Piece Chopper was created strictly to be a mascot character and to sell plushies? It worked. It's easier to sell plushies of animal characters than say Kirby or a human.
