i've been having fun picking it up on and off today. waiting on nook's cranny to be built, the ladder, and more rocks/iron nuggets to make better tools.

can't wait to hop on before bed and catch some fish at night, so fucking cozy. i can fish along the entire beach now, too since i got the pole vault.

has anyone found fruit other than their own while visiting an island? all three tickets i've bought took me to islands with the same fruit as mine. (cherries)

i'm honestly not sure, i heard a rumor they respawn in a few days but i'd stick to smashing the ones on islands where shit doesn't matter.

Im scared this will turn out to be the worst game where new leaf turned out to be the best.

9pm PST game released for me last night, played til about 2am, woke up this morning around 9am and i got it.

Iron nuggets can go fuck themselves. You have to grind tickets or wait days worth of time since every rock can be harvested once a day.

If you got the game at midnight, a new day starts at 5:00 AM for whatever your timezone is. Getting the Pole right now is completely reasonable

Aren't tickets cheap though? Like 800 nook miles? Doesn't sound like a lot I guess, but yeah. You still have to grind the nook points to get the tickets to do the island tours.

I can see the grind factor not appealing to a lot of people.

They're like 3k or 6k for me, forgot whether I sold 1 or 2 at that time.

The online play is garbage. Every time someone enters or leaves the island, you have to wait 2 minutes each time to watch them arrive or go away

What can you even do with online play? I know you can visit other peoples islands, but is that it? I know best friends can harvest each others islands and do whatever.

So the first bridge you get it from having villagers set to move in. Idk if you need 3 queued but I did. Go to the mystery islands to get them. You'll get a kit to make 1 bridge so you can get their houses placed

PSA: Just a reminder to be careful who you add as a best friend. Best friends on your list can visit your island AND harvest it AND do whatever to it basically. Don't add some faggot random off Yas Forums who'll fuck up your island. You know it'll happen to at least one person on here.

You have to really trust someone to add them as a best friend.

I got new fruits and used their shop to buy items that are not available at my store yet. Besides that not a lot. Its cool to see peoples layouts though.

Goddamn, I was way off. That's a lot to me, but I guess it really isn't. I mean, the game does give you lots of ways to earn nook miles, like you have nook+ missions and plenty of things reward miles. Just playing the game and doing basic stuff like crafting or fishing can earn you points.

Anybody know how naming your island works? Will it just be referred to as what you typed in, or will is always have "Island" taked on at the end like a suffix? Like, if I type "Arlando", will it show up as is or as "Alrando Island"?

fishing. red snappers, sturgeon, dabs, and a few others are in the 3-9k range. adds up quickly. tarantulas are 8k each too. also sell the weeds and make your own stuff from the DIY bench instead of buying from nook.
