Anyone notice that the hype for the game has died down and no one is even talking about it anymore. Seriously I could have almost forgotten it existed if it weren't for these threads making fun of it.

It was supposed to come out in a month, but delaying it this close to release and so far in the future pretty much killed the hype. That and the contradicting information they've been giving out for about a year just makes anyone with a brain worried this game won't be that good.

They didn't remove it' it's one of the placeholder ads in all gameplay they've shown, or god forbid a finished product. They just stopped promoting it after the tranny outrage

I hope it's good with no expectations at all going into it. Because until the stars align and we get both a system thats powerful enough and enough money put into the games production itself. The idea of a game that is genuinely 100% branching path is likely not gonna happen.

I mean we already know everything we saw in 2018 has been either completely changed or cut. The CC was confirmed make believe, just to "show us how it *would* be". The options in it literally did not exist, and the preset faces you could see were random NPCs seen in that same gameplay video. We know thanks to the Deep Dive video that the background options for V have been changed from more personal ones to origins ala Mass Effect. Multiple apartments which was mentioned both in the video and in interviews after the fact was confirmed completely cut.
The Deep Dive video made it seem like it'd be like Deus Ex in that you can go through a "dungeon" via completely different pathways depending on your skills but that video's also edited to hell and beyond and if you take out all the bullshit and narrator talk it's at most like 5 minutes of raw gameplay. For a game that was announced seven years ago, in full development for five years and that was about to come out in a month, we know jack shit about it.

This, all I wanted to do was play with trama team. Even just a relative side quest were you and your team are randomly assigned a location and have to get you target in a certain time frame.

im concerned they will spend the majority of their resources in side quests on character sexuality over actually enabling you to augment your characters or if there are consequences for doing so like corporate fucks can override your limbs

A tabletop RPG can allow a great variety in professions and lifestyles because, guess what, it's only limited by imagination and the established setting. Videogames are limited by budget and time. How exactly would you make a game in which you can be a somewhat popular musician and rabble-rouser (Rocker), a professional journalist (Media), a serving police officer (Cops) etc Each of those would be a revolutionary game in itself. You might as well say why can't you be a cop or politician in GTAV.

CDPR have wisely restricted gameplay to being a criminal mercenary who solicits, and is offered, jobs to commit violence or espionage.

Just do the ambulance mission on gta

It's entirely possible, but game devs don't want to go through the trouble because there's no need to do so. People will buy their game as long as they do what is adequate, but doing what is adequate is hardly commendable nor worthy of praise.

Imagine something like Deus Ex Human Revolution where if you upgrade yourself with the LIMB chip, the chink bitch turns off all your augmentations and makes the nest boss fight harder for it
