That complains about additional content
When it's entirely optional
And exists just to be a fun thing for people to do if they want
Completely optional added content that doesn't hurt the core gameplay in any way is just a bonus holy fucking shit

TOXIC
Clunky means something user. I'm sorry your favorite game got called clunky, I'm sure the reviewer was a retard, but it's a real word, and a useful one.

No wonder you fags don't like anything.

>DUHH STOP REVIEWING THE ENTIRE GAME DUHHH ONLY REVIEW THE THINGS I LIKE
If it's part of the game, no matter if it's optional or not, it can be reviewed, dumbass.
>As a fan of the series, blah blah blah
>personal history with the series ends up longer than the actual review
>Review scores down the game because it doesn't do something the reviewer "expects it to do" that has nothing to do with the core gameplay
If the reviewer has proven themselves to have good taste then this is unironically a godsend.
Or if it's scoring down a "sequel" that fails to deliver on the original's greatness.
>As a ____
I guess I'm more thinking along the lines of shit that is completely outside the box of what the game is meant to be offering, like Sekiro not having difficulty settings or pic related. Shit that has absolutely no relation with the main piece the game offers but apparently is worth getting upset by sheer nature of it not existing.
Oh yeah, that's obvious horseshit.
I think your point should be more like
> Review scores down the game for its failure to meet some completely arbitrary condition not advertised nor expected by the game
Ah yeah, that's a far better way of putting it.
>not ignoring all reviews
Why the fuck do you need other people to tell you whether or not you'd like a video game? Surely you play enough games to know what you would and wouldn't like?
Here's my shittiest take
The dreamcast is more powerful and has better hardware than the PS2, while also having a comparable library to it despite how much bigger the PS2 library is. Not to mention how much the PS2 held back other platforms at the time as well since it was such a weak piece of shit. We would have been better off if the PS2 wasnt so shit hardware wise, even if we gave up some of it's library as a cost of this changed timeline. If it wasnt for the contract being favorable, being a DVD player thats cheap (and played games) it wouldn't have been nearly as successful and that would have been beneficial in the end.
Fuck the PS2. Fuck the majority of it's library. I suck Sony's dick day and night but I will never defend this piece of shit
At what point does playing video games make you clairvoyant, able to tell what a game feels like to play?
You can watch videos all you want but a game can look much better than it plays.
Clunky is well deserved for shit like dark souls 2, how a game can feel more clunky than its predecessor is beyond me

The difference between Smash Bros Melee and Brawl.

Because they might have interesting insight into the game and are good at explaining why it's a good game?
Omnidirectional rolling alone makes DS2 feel smoother than DS1, for any of the other complaints you can lay on it.
