A digital copy isn't much of a loss even if you take away the whole corona situation. Physical copies are so delicate they become imperfect even if you're very delicate with them, assuming they don't already have imperfections from the get go. Digital avoids that hassle.
Hell, even if you have no dents or such there's still dust which builds up on them.

Physical, because in NZ, the Physical release, at the Warehouse, is usually up to $40 cheaper than digital. AC:Od was $69 brand new at the warehouse but $119 digital.
(The Warehouse is like a chain department store that sells a mix of cheap brands and good stuff - cheap clothing and electronics for example, but you can't really sell knock off PS4 games, so it's the same - they just buy in bulk).
