I ask. I now play DOOM online in 60fps, and ultimate mods with others online. I also get to OC my switch which makes everything run way smoother. Nintendo doesn’t ban unless you pirate games or cheat online

no idea how to set that up and, yes, I'm too lazy to really care. Already got a hacked wii u anyway which covers about half the library as it is. I don't want any risk of being banned. Might get a 2nd switch if switch pro rumors are true then hack my old one.

Switch doesn't have enough JRPGs I want to play, that aren't available elsewhere. Pokemon and octopath were what I was gonna get it for, we know how octopath turned out, and pokemon too. It's a shame traditional turn based stuff has sort of died out.

I would only hack my switch to port switch games to PC and run them on an emulator. Shit aint happening anytime soon.

I only really hack consoles that are near their end of life, usually by that time the hacking scene has matured enough that you don't have to emulate NANDS and you are able to download/inject games far easier.

Literally the only benefit outside of pirating shit is a couple hacks for some games I'm most likely never going to use, custom themes, and save backups. The downside is potentially getting my system and NNID banned with the risk in the future of them being able to eventually detect EmuNAND like we saw back in 3DS days. There's not even any translation patches that I would even care for.

As far as updating games goes, you can update all games easily and quickly via /hbg/ shop. While I will concede it is more hoops, its not as many as you likely think.
