MS has a way better marketing strategy this time around. They are really going out of their way to make sure that EVERYBODY knows what their new console is, and what it does.

Sony meanwhile are dragging their heels, and when they finally do reveal specs, they do it in the most mundane and boring way imaginable. Sony should remember that the general public are fucking MORONS. Explain it in a way that a literal child could understand. Nah, that's just "Le funny meme". It is nice to see them embrace it though. I think the killing blow will be that smaller Xbox model. Microsoft have been real quiet about it. My guess is that they are going to really undercut the price of it. It's obviously the cheaper model, but I think MS will go out of its way to make it significantly cheaper than the next PlayStation. They won't mode taking a serious hit on it, and losing money on it being non profitable.

It's worse for sony though, since they haven't had good news in a while. MS tried to improve their public image over the entire generation since they lost hard, while it makes sony look condescending for breaking the silence on the ps5 with boring tech talk and lower specs.

There is literally nothing to talk about except specs. All the exclusives are already announced for PS4, and I guarantee the next couple of years will see even more cross-generational games than last time. Not to mention with PC versions being more common and usually the same day as console versions, the ONLY reason to own a console is as a cheaper alternative to a gaming PC, and if that's the case then the only point of difference between the sex and the piss is the specs. There is NO functionality or exclusive content that one can hold over the other.
