Is it common in Nintendo games for Japanese words to have spaces and little hiragana like that? It makes Japanese so much more readable.

Yes, because nintendo games are for kids and little kids don't know those big words (aka hard kanji).
Shounen manga does this too, further driving home the point that it's for kids.

Animal crossing demographic is children so it's meant to be more legible. Other games tend to vary.

It's very common for recent games aimed at younger audiences. Now that screen resolutions are getting high enough to include furigana, kids/learners get the benefit of being able to read the text. Even BotW includes furigana (which you can disable) in dialogue boxes, but it is not present in the menus.

But cheating requires doing something not programmed in the game/system i.e. using a gameshark or something. TTing has always been a thing Nintendo has allowed you to do.

Apparently after looking it up the game considers it a new day for gameplay when it's like 5AM. Same thing that the other games do.

I really hope so, I haven't seen shit about it in the previews. Going to Aika's spooky town and seeing them update it is cool. There's probably a substitute though.

What do you want from the island? Really the only things you should worry about are the river exits.

make your own decision based on what's most important to you. villagers can be replaced but the airport color and native fruit are stuck that way.

I picked a town with an island in the middle so I could put my house there. It seems really really dumb that you don't start with a pole vault.
