Phil said M$ won't make the same pricing mistake it did on Xbone's launch. If Xbox is revealed to by $500, then it'd make sense to sell the PS4 at $400 even if it is a loss.

I'm not them but 360 games predominantly do not run at above 30fps. Lower end PCs can handle games at console expectations just fine. an ancient 750ti is what I have in my old second PC and it's comparable to a base Xbox one in power. that user wasn't wrong, depending on how someone moves goalposts on what "low end" means of course

Sure, but for example, if you try to play any of the 360 Call of Duty games which run at 60 on a $500 or less home/office PC, most of which have intel integrated graphics, you're not going to get a consistent 60 fps on low settings. Most PC's don't have a $200 graphics card. Sure, if you get a gaming PC, it's going to be better than any console, but most consoles are still way better than most budget PC's.

false. take an old game like sonic racing transformed for example. It's capped at 30 but on a poor gpu with parity some tweaking of shadow settings only I was able to get 60fps. expectations weren't there back then, even still. they'd cap it at 30 to seek consistency

New Xbox and PS5 are both RDNA2 so it's actually applicable in that situation. It's not a useful metric otherwise.

In layman's terms, the SSD is very very fast and so is the ram ssd I'd costum design. Was impressed and it's not about teraflops because it's the next gen that's where raytracing matters. The faster bandwidth throughput is integral for vr/ar applications. This gen will be the start of Ray tracing so while Xbox can churn out more power it's the sanic fast speeds that fix the inherent problems with vr more.

This is the first time consoles will ever see the technology, so of course we haven't seen it in action yet (aside from that Minecraft demo M$ had I guess). But just because you haven't seen what it can do, doesn't mean it should be brushed aside when the entire selling point of consoles next gen appears to be based around raytracing capabilities- which XSX will have a clear advantage right out of the gate.

Honestly the series x might end up being better overall but I've always been a fan of consoles having custom shit, the ssd looks pretty cool, I'm interested in seeing how first party devs utilize it.
